In my eyes no I'd say it's on Even Par with release; VR has taken a massive step backwards, Weather is currently all over the place, performance has improved at the expense of graphics, progress in flight physics has improved, World Updates have generally been getting better & better, Sim Updates have been Even Stevens for me as they can be very Hit or Miss. Ultimately there's still too many step backwards when step forwards are being made, the aforementioned VR being a prime example of this. But "when it works" and it all comes together it can be a magical experience, the future's still very exciting for this title - regardless of current & prolonged issues. Would you mind quickly explaining how VR has taken massive steps back? I'm very new to flying in VR (last week), so I don't have any previous experience. I'm just genuinely curious. After taking some time to dial in my settings, and configure my addons properly, I can't picture myself going back to monitor flying at this point. It's certainly not perfect, but it's really, really enjoyable for me at the moment. Edited February 14, 20224 yr by FakeWayne

Degradation in Graphics in SU5, slightly improved in SU6 but Clouds up close are still nowhere near as good as they were neither is the AA on toolbar menus. SU7 introduced a game breaking issue with the toolbar, this was only partially fixed in SU7 Patch and still only partially fixed in SU8 Beta (thus far...), the latest Beta has also introduced another incredibly annoying bug with toolbar windows resetting, but there's absolutely no reassurance from the devs this will be fixed during the beta period. From the first VR inclusion to now it's gone backwards, badly. February 14, 20224 yr I appreciate all the MSFS criticism so no bones to pick here. As with most hobbies it is what you make of it. As for VR I will definitely give it a go when things mature. Also the old habits of devs is improving to the point where us consumers can feel confident that our purchases can expect continual updates due to the MSFS DLC marketing strategy - IOW constant updates. Finally, MSFS seems to be on the right track so no complaints. ns AMD RYZEN 9 5900X 12 CORE CPU - ZOTAC RTX 3060Ti GPU - NZXT H510i ELITE CASE - EVO M.2 970 500GB DRIVE - 32GB XTREEM 4000 MEM - XPG GOLD 80+ 650 WATT PS - NZXT 280 HYBRID COOLER

February 15, 20224 yr For me, and I am exclusively a VR user, the VR right now is pretty spectacular even with the issues stated. Sure they can be mildly annoying, but there are simple workarounds for the most part and the good significantly outweighs the bad. You can certainly wait until every detail is sorted, but if any of you are on the fence, dont be afraid to consult multiple opinions on the forum before deciding on whether its worth taking the plunge. ... lots of people go on outdoor camping trips. But....since release night lighting has improve immensely. Performance has improved immensely as well w/ very little downside graphically. Pre-cache Terrain slider was added which improved the sim's ability to exploit the high end GPU better. Weather now is having some success w/ METAR integration and in general seems to be improving. Multiple World Scenery updates occured, all free of charge. RT Online Traffic took a holiday for takeoffs, but apparently is back in service again. The SDK continues to undergo development and hints are there that we will be seeing PMDG NG3 sometime soonish. ATC has had some improvements since release but really hasn't gotten high level focus quite yet is obvious. Various bugs have been fixed. MFD brightness control and map orientation control was added to the G3000 avionics. And I'm sure some have escaped my memory.
