I downloaded the new installer and it pretty cool. I'm glad Umberto decided to create & release it for all the airports.

Is it still safe to delete the hyperlinks and create them with linker?

I'd also like to know where can I get the upgrade price for Charlotte? 😀

I'm not sure what would be the point of deleting the Symbolic Link created by our installer, and replacing it with an identical Symbolic Link created by the Addon Linker pointing to the same place. Shouldn't the Addon liker already detect the package as properly linked and just not doing anything ?

The point is that your installations can't be turned off. Addon Linker would allow that simple feature.

We were discussing of the NEW FSDT Installer which, of course, now has exactly that feature.

 

Check the video, at about 2:30, where the Uninstall function is explained, it shows the option to just disable the scenery without Uninstalling it, which will make the "RELINK" button to appear, so it can be re-enabled again instantly, without reinstalling it.

Hi Umberto,

I like to keep all my airports in their respective regions. No problem keeping all your airports where they are installed. I've un-linked them and added the fsdt airport folder in my add-on linker and I can enable and disable by region with one click.

The upgrade price for airports is still available?

Ok, I understand but, keep in mind that while this works right now for our products, in the future we'll share more and more features between them and, especially, between them and GSX, regardless of the region they are.

Don't think if it's mentioned or I missed it, but the current FSDT installed products will be instantly recognized by the new installer?.

Yes it will. I just downloaded the new installer and all my products (P3D and MSFS) were automatically recognised. Very, very simple and efficient!
