I have a 5900x and 3080 and only run stutter free locked at 30 FPS and I only have the scenery at like 200/400. My sim has always been locked at 30fps. I have same settings as SU7, which was really smooth. i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.

I am using the latest experimental FBW A320, but I don't see others complaining about compatibilty issues with it. I also run Navigraph data. I can try without these add ons but I don't think they are the reason. I have seen by turning on dev mode, the stutters disappear and it is the same as previously in SU7, very smooth. As soon as I turn dev mode off, the stutters return. As off now, dev mode is stopping this spinning white circle and bad stuttering whilst on the ground. (The stuttering is ONLY on the ground, it's smooth once airborne). This is true with PG on or off. I saw on the msfs forums someone has the same issue and noted heavy disk usage during the stuttering with the sim constantly accessing the kh_logbook.stmp. Looks like the work around for now is run with dev mode on. March 1, 20224 yr no stutters or whatsoever here, smooth as silk. might help to see WHERE you see the stutters unless it is literally everywhere and everytime? March 1, 20224 yr I'm getting this terrible stuttering on the ground as well but it seems to only be getting this when flying the EMB-110 (only other planes so far I've tried are the TBM and Caravan). I know the 110 has serious issues with performance anyway but sure seems like the update really enhanced this issue. Anybody else have the 110 and having the same performance issues? Update: Looks like in my case, popping out the 530 to my RSG G530 bezel is what's causing bad stuttering. When I pop it out to one of my RSG G1000 panels (which are connected to a different GPU), performance is normal (same as before the update). Going to try the steam gauge 172 and see if popping out the 530 causes the same issue. Update 2: Yep, seems the stutter pops up with the 530 popout (anything actually as I just tried a G1000 popout and the bad stuttering occurred) to the same GPU (separate GPU not an issue). So the supposed fix for popouts seems to be mistaken. Performance is actually worse. Edited March 1, 20224 yr by Little Jenny
March 2, 20224 yr Author Well, just did a complete re-install and the stutters are still there. White circle rotating, stutter just when taxiing and particularly on take off roll. If I switch dev mode 'ON', no stutters whatsoever? I just don't get it. The sim appears to be trying to do something whilst taxiing and take off, hence the rotating white circle. Just booted the sim now and had an update, anyone else? ..... back to testing. Stu Hi Stu There is an ongoing topic in the MSFS VR section that I raised with major issues with controls that was rendering the VR mouse (and therefore the sim) pretty much unusable. Controls-wise, the same issue made it impossible for me to steer the aircraft on the ground. I posted it also on the MSFS forum and I think we may have got a bit of a breakthrough. It appears that SU8 has done something odd to the custom bindings on any of the HOTAS controls (throttle, joystick, rudder-bar) etc. Just to humour me - go into your controls settings and switch them all to 'Default'. Does that fix it? March 2, 20224 yr Yeah...something is TANKED with SU8. I have nothing in my Community Folder...and on the ground, any airport...or basically on the ground...my Main Thread is tanked at 50-148 MS...with single digit FPS. As soon as I leave the ground and take off....my Main Thread goes to yellow/green at 30 FPS, but if on ground...(with nothing in my Com folder..) the Main Thread runs up to 50-60 MS... Something is really wrong with the SU8 release! Edited March 2, 20224 yr by Sesquashtoo
