March 24, 20224 yr Is it me or are there suddenly less stutters? Like many I was getting stutters at low altitude or on the ground but as of right now they seem to have largely gone. Either there was some hidden tweak in the World Update or updating my NVidia drivers earlier has actually made a difference. It's still not perfect but, it is definitely better.
March 24, 20224 yr If you are using FBW, they merged today a fix for the stutter issue for experimental and development branches AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display
March 24, 20224 yr no stutters here, neither before and neither after WU8. All smooth but I noticed some weather improvements, clouds and visibility looked great when flying into Faro and later Gibraltar. Anyway, saw your other post on the new nvidia driver, will install it now anyway though I do not expect any benefit for my good old 1660 card Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
March 24, 20224 yr Just the usual MSFS randomness I would say. They have no performance improvements listed in the release notes, and if they had made performance improvements, I am sure they would want to shout it from the rooftops. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.
March 24, 20224 yr I don't know, I've flown around quite a bit today. Spain and Portugal of course as well as some of my familiar places and things just generally feel, better.
March 24, 20224 yr I've only flown Spain/Portugal today but yes, that has all been stutter free. Will try out some other places later, fingers crossed it's just as smooth.
March 24, 20224 yr Updated WU8 then to NVidia driver 512.15. I definitely feel some benefit in smoothness and the appearance of the weather. Not a phase change perhaps but noticeable? It is really smooth now with a great overcast layer in N. Spain; en-route BCN to LA Coruna in the CJ4. 45FPS on the ground with AIG at BCN and 58FPS in the air with good ol' GTX1080 Ti. All mods seem to work so far including AIG and no stutters so far.
March 24, 20224 yr May depend on the source of your stutters... my stutters caused by third party mesh are still there 😟 Time to file my third Zendesk ticket (SU7, SU8, WU8) Bert

Just disable the mesh and wait for suitable update from the 3rd party. Thomas Derbyshire

However, the screwed up coastlines re-appear.. that is the problem. 😉 and Asobo has not yet explained what they changed in SU7, leaving the 3rd parties hanging..
