Here are some other aircraft that have this realistic vibration in MSFS2020: PMDG DC-6 and RedWing Lockheed Constellation. Aircraft that had it in P3D: A2A Cherokee, Comanche and Bonanza and again the PMDG DC-6

I know it looks cool and immersive but take a look at real DC-6. Do you notice any cockpit vibration ? I flown Comanche and Bonanza IRL I can't remember anything vibrating visually frankly

Is it possible to get a version or addon for this aircraft with modern radios?

My system specs: Intel [email protected] - 5.2 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, 32GB  DDR4  RAMNoctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler,1TB Seagate SSD, 4TB Seagate HD, Windows 10, Asus 32 inch monitor, Saitek Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Rudder Pedals and Trim Wheel     Sims: MSFS2020      Preferred Aircraft  Black Square Bonanza, and Baron, A2A Comanche, PMDG DC-6, Red Wing L1049

No news from the devs regarding the unrealistic fuel/oil consumption, CHT temperatures and oil pressure/temp?

Cheers :)

I'm afraid this is another abandoned product for MSFS. No word from the developer since release where a lot of people addressed the issues upon release regarding CHT, Right engine startup sounds etc.

Its a one man show Otmar, does all the work except the FM and sounds. Give him another year it may be updated by then. But hey the plane only cost $20 that's less than a good meal for two. Their product from P3D is still not finished which cost $59 when released.

Yeah, the silence from the dev is a real bummer. Thought it was a nice little aircraft, but the issues made me mothball it.

I can understand being a one man team but I also think it shouldn't take too much time to create a post on the website to give some information on when things will get fixed or at least a road map. I guess it's fair to say no one waits 1 year for a product to work as intended regardless of the price. We're talking about issues identified couple hours after release if the release was delayed another week I'm pretty sure most of these were fixed and we had a complete plane to enjoy. Anyway, I guess given the price it's not too much of a loss.

There are no major "game killer" bugs with the aircraft, it flies fine (flight model is Pamela Booker), lands fine (especially for a tail dragger), does not cause CTDs  and is relatively immune to Asobo Sim Update issues because it uses it's own custom engine and system management which avoids most update bugs.

Ironically most of the (minor) bugs that people complain about are related to the bonus features that no other $20 aircraft even offers. The temp gauge reads low by a constant amount (you can just add the difference or better still just keep oil pressure around 70 to 90) the right handle crank handle makes no noise (unless your making a video who cares really) etc etc  if the aircraft had come out with an indestructible engine and CTRL E easy startup I suspect there would actually be minimal complaints.  It is a bit like Ferrari bringing out an amazing budget version of the F8 Spider at half price and people complaining about bugs in the free reversing camera they bundled with it.

The majority of other complaints seem more related to people not following correct procedures. The engine start is pedantic, if you skip or rush steps it will not start (in particular always wait till cranking hits 30% and then always always prime again before engaging the starter).  You also need to stay a few minutes ahead of oil pressure and carb heat changes - it is not a set and forget aircraft, seemingly slight changes in manifold pressure, altitude or OAT can cause quite rapid changes in temps and oil pressure (it is not a co-incidence that people regularly blow engines on approach) so if things start to shift you need to notice and react immediately to compensate.

Wow! Really surprised. All the pages at the Wing42 site are dead. You can't purchase products for any platform! He seemed like a really committed developer. Perhaps real life issues stepped in the way. Likely something fairly serious.

Yeah there is some genuine concern as to whether he has health issues or something.

Some concern is justified. Something may possibly be wrong.

However -whining and demanding minor bugs in a twenty dollar airplane (bugs that have minimal effect on fly-ability) be fixed right now is not justified.

I don't think you understand this is not a PMDG or Fenix level developer its a mom and pop show mainly pop. They don't get rich off this hobby. They may be broke by now the servers seems to be down on the W42 site?

The developer is gone missing. 247D was a great add on at the time and super immersive. It' shame it's been abended  . Then again we don't know the circumstances may be developer has financial issue or health problems who knows what else? For what it worth website of wing42 is still up and running!

The plane is to good to be abandoned:(. Hope the developer ressurect soon...

Anyway, anyone know if scenery exist for this plane, like recreated airports from the 1930's. Would be awsome to have for this one.
