As far as I know, there is no public holiday in the US or France on Friday. Why the change to issuing this development update on Thursday? Is this going to be a permanent change where we get the development update on Thursday going forward? Um, they've been Thursdays since forever.

Perhaps you didn’t notice them until Friday. I’ve been pinning these every Thursday night for what seems like years now 😂😂 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

So, what you see are the wipers swinging back and forth vehemently without wiping a single drop of water!! Also, you can see the rain drops through the rubber lining of the windshiled.

April 8, 20224 yr Quote We are fine-tuning the cloud layer system to be more precise and incremental. The layer will be much thinner at sea level and thicker as we go to higher altitudes. The updated system will help better depict a realistic cloud coverage at low altitude. Why don't you use metroblu like you once did, are they not processing it all including local airport observations and sending you the correct cloud layer heights like you said? Oh right, because they have been or are going to be cut off soon. Now need to build your own in-house weather system based on freely accessible sources to replace all that. Don't worry, you can tell us the truth.

I wouldn‘t call this a bug. It‘s just a feature that‘s not implemented yet. But I agree, I‘d love to see working wipers too. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2

Can you please point me to it ? Thanks ! Can you please point me to it ? Thanks ! People are making assumptions based on a lack of understanding of how the weather system works, and treating those assumptions as facts. I doubt that MeteoBlue is going anywhere. MSFS has to use a weather model that simulates the entire atmosphere from the surface to high altitudes for the entire world. Asobo cannot build their own weather model “in house”. Creating a worldwide model requires enormous computational resources, and can only be done by an organization that specializes in meteorology and forecasting, either a commercial operation like MeteoBlue or AccuWeather, or a government entity like the US NOAA. A model can provide information on where clouds exist, but it up to the sim’s own graphics engine to actually create the cloud images and place them in the simulated atmosphere. It is probably the cloud graphics generation system that they are “fine tuning”.
