FULL SCREEN OR WINDOWED

Hi everyone... Sorry to bring this back up, but why would there be a noticeable image quality difference between being in windowed or full screen?  I have a considerable better experience visually when in windowed but prefer to have the experience of having full screen.  What would cause such a difference?

There is no image quality difference for me using windowed or full screen, which in MSFS is borderless windowed and it's what I use because I hate the top white bar in windowed mode.

This sim runs really well with windows switching, even in VR.

I can switch in and out of windows without a hiccup.

In other sims/games the VR absolutely hates the tabbing in and out.

Windowed. Everytime an update switches me to full screen, I get PO'd.

Mine must be Bass Ackwards then, every time I update, mine changes from Full Screen to Windowed... 😲

I have not.. how would I go about doing that?

Right click your Windows Desktop and select Display Settings. Under Display, scroll down and see what Display Resolution is set to. Make sure it's set to what your monitor is (example: my monitor is 2k and set to 2560x1440, yours may be different).

Next, inside MSFS go to Options, General Options and then Graphics. Under DISPLAY MODE select first Windowed and then Fullscreen and check that SCREEN RESOLUTION is set the same and also matches what you had set on your Windows Desktop Display Settings

I also noticed much sharper textures in VC when using windowed.same resolution 4k in both game (scale 65%)and windows.

I have 3 tablets. One under the table for MCDU etc,

Anyone knows if its possible to have the moving map for vfr on a tablet?

I use Navigraph normally but just corious.

I play full screen and use a free app called KV10 which allows you to quickly pull up windows over the full screen sim. I use this for Vpilot when i'm flying on Vatsim. Using the KV10 app I simply save the Vpilot app to a command (Ctrl, 1) and that brings the Vpilot up and overlays on top of MSFS full screen. I hit (Ctrl, 1) again and it goes away.  You can save up to 10 windows for quick recall with this app.

I still get an immediate CTD when a) in VR and b) Windowed, and I click or activate autopilot functions.  Noticed it in the TBM a few months ago, and experienced it yesterday in the PMDG 737.   Does not happen in full screen.
