FULL SCREEN OR WINDOWED

Featured Replies

Do you fly in full screen or windowed mode? I want to fly in full screen but can't figure out how to get to my desktop should I want to go into apps or the internet. There has got to be a way. I see people on YouTube dragging them in with the mouse but can't figure out how to do that. Any help?

I fly full screen exclusively, and I have one screen. What I do is simply hit the Windows Key (bottom left corner of keyboard). That will bring up the windows task bar and also the start menu (or whatever they call it nowadays). From there you can open up storage drives, folders, open apps etc. Easy peasy 🙂

I forgot to mention that as well. Good catch!

Streamers and YouTubers also use broadcast software that allows them to manipulate windows virtually. What you see in the video is not necessarily how it looks on their desktop.

Windows (plural) kill immersion, so full screen.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Left alt + enter   is it

I use Windowed. I have dual monitors with my G1000Nxi screens displayed on the second monitor, so I need Windowed to do this.

Either Alt-Enter will do it.

I'm able to use the Rt Alt -Lt Click and move the G1000Nxi to a touch screen monitor and I'm running full screen.  I use Air Manager and I move the MFD over also to a second touch screen monitor.  Or are you doing something different?

An alternative to Alt + Enter - to access other Apps is to just tap the window icon  on the keyboard - usually located between Ctrl and Alt. Hit it again to return to full screen.

Thanks for the post Bill.  I changed to full screen and was still able to move both G1000Nxi screens to the other monitor.  I had read somewhere that I would have to use the Windowed mode to do this.  Not so.

I then used the Windows key to get to my Task Bar.

Thanks again,

I can only fly in windowed mode since one of the updates last year. I get screen tearing when quickly panning around the cockpit. Only advice I saw regarding this was to fly in windowed mode. 😐
