That’s why this community s*cks so hard.

FSLabs is better off accelerating their A330 or Concorde for MSFS.

Is better for them to start fresh in MSFS instead of trying to port from P3D to MSFS which hurts MSFS quality to be honest. Fenix went full out because is starting fresh in MSFS with 0 background in P3D, which means taking advantage of every inch in MSFS compatibility instead of treating MSFS like P3D and try to do stuff in MSFS like how you'd them in P3D.

Since most wont read it, here is a little bit.

So, not only are 181 livery packages including variations available at launch - but the art team pulled out a whopper and also took the time to hand reference each registration we’ve painted for a rough configuration using the best available data - matching their standby configuration at the very least. All of them. So now, the airframe you fly will be uniquely configured and changes from flight to flight, from airline to airline"

Oh...I most certainly read that!  It means that I get to FLY her on day one, vs still having liveries stacked up in my paint hangar to get out.  LoL....even for as long as I've had the 737, last night was my 1st recreational flight in her!  All previous flights were test flights...and I can assure you they are anything but "recreational" 🙂

About the whole "This dev vs this dev" thing....I've been doing this long enough that I see value in all devs (Even CS...because they clearly show the community how NOT to be a good dev...as evidenced by their solid 1 start rating for their plane with no cockpit. Their value is now purely for comedic relief more than actual plane development).

Anyway...folks should seriously stop wasting their valuable simming time talking about it and get in the cockpit of your favorite plane and learn to fly her better with that time. 🙂  Or you ALL could take up a side hobby if you have so much extra time...like livery painting.🤭

Let's all just enjoy what Devs have given us, like Leonardo, PMDG, Fenix. Majestic, Just Flight, Wings 42, firmware, Milviz and especially @simbol for his jaw dropping release coming soon that Fabio showcased yesterday!   If THAT did not blow you away if you're an avid GA fan...then you need to take up a new hobby, hehe.

Guys....lets all agree that it's never been a better time to be a simmer, and spirited conversations on who's better are just wasting your valuable simming (or painting time). 🙂  😉

Good to see another dev trusting in the size of the MSFS market to allow them to offer an "affordable" price.

I'll be getting a copy and hoping PMDG takes the hint.

Yes, I think this will be a day one purchache for me. I hope PMDG will not only take the hint, price-wise. I am glad not having bought the 737-7 and after what I have seen is possible texture-wise in the Fenix, that what PMDG is providing us is not as good. If they don't polish the textures on the 737-8, I probably even won't buy that and be happy with the A320 or buy another middle-range aircraft. Even system-wise the I have the impression fenix is superior. If Fenix is providing what they promise at this price range - and I really hope their plan works out - it will be a gamer changer for the flightsim community.

PS: To say something good about the PMDG, to not being mean: I really like the cockpit lighting at night; that looks stunning, but at day light I couldn't enjoy it probably.

Honestly, I don't really know what FSLabs should do here. If they do start over, given their speed, by the time they'll be finished with it, it'll be 5-6 years... *SIGH*

Maybe they should just skip it, and concentrate on their A330 and/or Concorde instead.

Yup, that's what I think.  Just skip porting their A320 to MSFS.  Focus on getting the Concorde and A330 out. For their A330, FSLabs already has a little competition from Aerosoft and the freeware Headwind A330.  The interesting thing about the Headwind A330 is, since it uses the FBW A320 code, improvements to the FBW A320 code can result in improvements to the Headwind A330 too (when the Headwind A330 updates to the latest FBW A320 code branch).  If Headwind keeps improving the A330 over the next few years, that takes away market share from FSLabs.

So even for the A330, FSLabs is on a clock.

I’d wager, with their commitment to excellence, their servers are better than some other servers.

Indeed yes. But... FSLabs? On the clock? That's a bad combination for one of the slowest developers I've ever come across... Don't get me wrong. They deserve their reputation (the good and the bad) and they deliver excellent simulations. But at their rate I doubt they'll have a market share, by the time they get around to it. Given that the A330 will be released on P3D first (which honestly makes no sense, IMO) and it's not around-the-corner - has there even been previews of it yet? - it'll most likely be several years before anything happens...

I don't know, though... I have been surprised before, but honestly, I'm not holding my breath.

Look at the insane amount of detailing on that Lufthansa vertical stabilizer shot. I'm not usually someone who places a lot of value on the external model - it's more about the cockpit for me - but my word, that looks good. Maybe I'll turn into a rivet counter too...

What I meant is, if they want to bring A330 to MSFS, is better for them to drop their P3D plans and focus only on MSFS, which means not try to do something that can hurt MSFS quality but instead go full on MSFS just like Fenix
