I'm sorry about that ;-(

The plane, although these big birds are not what I love the most, and I was also very hesitant to buy it, but here it was love at first sight (I had a similar experience with IXEG, Q4XP (but here it is tragic with FPS in VR), C310L, SF260, ...)
The A300 is simply GREAT.
Now, looking at the price (unfortunately no promotion), I feel like I won the lottery 😉

It was a remarkably good deal for US $12.50.  One of the big reasons for recently adding X-Plane 11 to my simming repertoire was the ability to venture into high-quality add-ons that never made it into 64-bit P3D, like the 767, 747-200, and 727--this A300 is yet another one.

I got a tour of the Airbus factory as part of an air cadet exchange back in the late 1970s, when the assembly line was in full swing with A300 production.  Even so, the 300 never came up on my radar until now.

If you haven't come across iniBuild's YouTube tutorial series for this bird, you'll want to--they're as remarkably good as the add-on itself.

I've skipped it. IniSimulations has not issued a statement on XP12 support yet, Linux compatibility is apparently hit and miss and the FPS reports were not too exciting.

Well, I do have the Beluga, which I bought in their sale last month, and it's a great add-on.

It does require study though. It's not a modern Airbus, so, my memmorized flows don't apply linearly...

If you missed the sale at iniBuilds, it's still on sale at Simmarket until midnight UTC (about 5 more hours as I write this) for ~20 Eurogazinks.

Question. Does X-Plane or the ini A300 have the ability to assign the MCDU pop up window to a keystroke or a joystick button? Sorry I have not watch all the training videos and it doesn't seem mentioned on the ini documentation.

Thanks.

At that discount, it's no sale. It's a message saying that it was not worth the price that was originally advertised.

That's a pretty bold take no?  To me it's more of a strong statement from the developer about competition from other sims than it is a statement that the plane was ever over priced.  It's widely regarded as one of the better planes out there.

If that were the case, the A310 and Beluga would certainly have been part of the sale, eh?

Actually the Beluga was in a Sale some weeks ago, and I bought it then :-)

I don't know why @beep747 made that afirmation, and I haven't really had the time tio dedicate more seriously to the Beluga, which is somehow "study-level", but from what I have been watching in several videos about their A300 / Beluga / A310, Inibuilds really looks like taking this kind of simulation really seriously, and offering very good levels of detail.

I am looking forward for a similar Sale of the A310. That one I will try not to skip !

I really have to disagree.  I found it to be a very well-done add-on with a LOT of in-depth attention to detail.  I consider myself to have gotten got my money's worth after the first flight.

I think its marketability has probably been limited by being a lesser-known airplane that probably doesn't attract a lot of notice alongside the more modern and fully-automated Scarebusses and the Boeings.

Just between FedEx and UPS alone, they still have over 100 A300s flying in active cargo service...I mistakenly thought they had been banished to the boneyards until I started doing a little research on them.

I still find myself simulating the daily DHL Arlanda- Leipzig run every once in awhile with the inibuilds A300.

It's a great piece of machinery, and inibuilds have made all surrounding services via the EFB very user friendly and smooth. That darned Speed pre-select feature is always so confusing though😁

It was probably worth the price when originally offered, even though I would NEVER pay that sort of money for an add-on - my sweet spot is in the $10-20 range. However, it is perhaps more an acknowledgement that time has moved on and that:

1. XP11 is becoming a dated platform

2. There are many other, newer flight-sim platforms competing for our wallets nowadays

3. These models are getting a bit old now and not all of us are into tubeliners, but will part with our precious moneys if a good deal comes along.

I wish more developers would see the writing on the wall like Inibuilds does and start offering their old products at good discounts. The money will go to the smart guys who are in touch with reality rather than yesteryear's blinkered ones.
