FENIX Will Not Move

Featured Replies

I was all setup and ready to taxi, Release the Parking Brake, Taxi Lights ON, Move the Throttles forward and the aircraft will not move. I checked to make sure the Chocks were off and no warnings were showing warnings showing either. Probably a simple thing I forgot?

Mark, I apologize. My error! I took a phone call an hour ago and Paused the sim (Pressed keyboard "P"). I forgot to unpause the sim and here I am. What do you know after pressing "P" again I am moving.  Thanks for responding to my false alarm 😉

Regards,

Tom

I think MarkW is talking about your right and left toe brakes. Check your axis assignments and make sure they're not reversed.

Thanks, I have a button assigned on my Saitek joystick for parking brakes.

He is talking about brake pedals, not the parking brake. Just look if the pedals are pushed down in the VC without you doing anything

Aside from being the most embarrassing thread of the week, the title does does kind of reflect badly on Fenix. Maybe you mods could put it out of it's misery?

It did no such thing.  You clicked for reasons entirely found within you.

In his post he made no bad statements about any developer, asked for help, when he realized his mistake he posted what he did, thanked everyone for help, and has generally been good about it.  There are zero things to be "embarrassed" about here.

If anything some of you should be embarrassed to the extent you think you need to actively defend other grown adult human beings or businesses when they aren't even being attacked.

Well, when I pull a total bone head move, then advertise such move to the world, I often feel embarrassed. Everybody is different!

He didn't do a total bonehead move.  he made a mistake that probably everyone has made a time or two, especially since there's no prompt on screen in msfs to tell you that you are paused.  and probably he does feel embarrassed,  but he still owned up to it rather than disappear like others have.

But hey, you can lash out in personal attacks if you want.  over nothing.  no matter to me.

He's fine mate, he cleared it all up with his responses. Why bother commenting... such a bone head thing to do.

I am really annoyed at this right now.

Only if I reverse the axes the plane starts moving again. How all of a sudden - after a week of flying the plane perfectly fine - this is happening?

I changed nothing in the controls. As a matter of fact, I have different profiles for different planes and all I do is choose the profile and move along. What is causing the sim to now not recognize the non-reversed axes?
