The last thing I would think of doing is getting a clipboard, and walking around on the ramp to see if I can find an airline that doesn't belong at a gate....😉

 But you must look out the window at some point and notice wrong airlines, wrong types, wrong continent to be operating in etc? It's just a major immersion killer for many.

I live almost next door to KATL and before that KMIA and KFLL and KJFK, and KLGA. I never noticed which airlines are parked at anyone of these airports. Couldn't care less...

PSXT, AIG and Real traffic is perfect for you.  Real aircraft live to the real world.

Not everyone wants to pay monthly for traffic.

Fair enough, but why then post at all about AI addons if you really don't care in the slightest what traffic you see in your sim? It removes any practical relevance to your posts.

I don't post about all add ons. I join post discussing the one I use, Simple Traffic, and when some swoop in to a Simple traffic thread,  acting like anyone that uses Simple Traffic is a bit daft and AIG should be used by all, I defend my use of it,

Same, I'm not paying a monthly sub for anything pc/sim/game related in 2022.

You can use AIG's models with vatsim

With AIG being as good as it is, there’s really no need for a payware addon. I was at first quite reluctant to install AIG as it seemed fairly complex. But I was too curious and couldn’t resist the temptation to try it out. It wasn’t too bad when following a thorough YouTube tutorial.

Before AIG I used Simple Traffic. There’s nothing wrong with it, it does everything as advertised. I don’t hate it, it’s just that AIG is such a better alternative. For me, I might add.

Let’s hope Asobo can manage to stop the mayhem like AI aircraft spinning around on taxiways and taking forever to vacate the runway after landing. I’ve suffered through 3-4 go-arounds (same flight) at Heathrow and sat at the holding point for 27L waiting impatiently while an AI uses all 3658 meters before exiting. Heck, I even saw an AI crashing into the hillside near Skiathos the other day. And then there’s the Maverick-style buzzing the tower in a 747… 🤯

Yeah, had AIG since the beginning. Even had to do a full reinstall after some upgrades. Have simple traffic. You know what? I don't install any longer as it serves no purpose. AIG is fairly simple to install, has several settings, a ridiculous amount of liveries and can even work with offline ga traffic as well. (with a mod). For Free! All of the issues and limitations with AIG involve the sim itself, not AIG.

@Cpt_Piett,

I would assume takes your sim longer to start up once adding AIG ?

Oh, it certainly does. But usually the sim has finished loading before I’m done with my flight planning 😉

I know but AIG OCI is a royal pain for those that just want models for Vatsim and nothing else. They said they are looking into bundling packages so I'll see how that pans out. But if Just Flight has just 1 exe file I can click on and get 95% of the models I need then that is for sure the way to go.

AIG has been around for a long time. hard to figure out why they can't make it like every other piece of Sim software, one click and it is installed.
