AIG has been around for a long time. hard to figure out why they can't make it like every other piece of Sim software, one click and it is installed.

because of copyright.

AIG is providing just the installer, all other content is provided still by the original developers and hosted on the websites they have uploaded it to. If AIG would provide a single package we would be required to get premission from every developer to include the files and host them on our server. Besides that, this would mean we only have 1 big back (90+GB) and not every single user wants all of that.

So by the modular way we have decided each user can decide what to install and our flightplan developers can link basically every available file in the internet without thinking about copyright violations 😉

Btw: I just checked the "clicks" you need to do from 1st start to all airlines installed - should be around 12 (incl. start of AIM, setup of OCI, restart of AIM, select every airline and install)

Hi Kai,

I find it quiet easy to update, however I have everything downloaded, Flightplans, models and liveries, as I am now only using the sims live traffic, can I delete all the flight plans as I am not using traffic controller, how do I do that, and will I still receive all the models and paints when I use the verify tool in the AI Manager after doing that?

you need to keep the flightplans, since they are the "baseline".

OK folks, this thread is about Aerosoft SImple Traffic, not AIG.  Let's get back to the topic, please...you can discuss AIG in another thread.

I like simple traffic works great for me and my kind of flying.

Not sure if it's Simple Traffic or not but I am finding that all airports are overwhelmed with planes and it's a job to find a stand? That's with AI planes set to 10% and static planes set to zero?

reduce traffic density to 0-5% and check again 😉

Use Real Live Traffic instead of offline Traffic and you won't have that problem.

AIG is a great option, but I like that Simple Traffic is only install and forget and that it doesn't take any performance hit, I use Real Live Traffic with 20% aircraft density to get AI parked at smaller airports, and I don't care about wrong liveries.

I am more concerned about aircraft behavior than liveries but AIG gives more life to airports and with the GA mod its even better at smaller places. Simple traffic does work, however. I wish I would have saved my money but if sometimes on AIG side breaks at least there's a backup.

I thought we were not going to discuss AIG anymore in this thread per the moderator?

You’re right Bob. I was just about to ask an AIG related question then saw your post. I’ll find the information elsewhere.

As the wise Dr. Ian Malcolm once said: "Life finds a way" 😉

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Odd. I was not off topic. I was in fact talking about Simple Traffic, about the AI behavior being an issue and having it as a backup in case other programs fail.....I did mention something about another program but also said, "Simple traffic does work, however. I wish I would have saved my money but if sometimes on AIG side breaks at least there's a backup."
