What is your favorite beer?

My wife is from Central America, so after we got together and started traveling a lot, the first counties we knocked out were those listed. While I liked visiting them, I’m not particularly fond of them and haven’t been back to any of them except Mexico. We like to go to Playa Del Carmen or Tulum occasionally.

I used to love Brazil and Argentina and made a few trips there and preferred it to Central America.

That all changed once we started going to Europe. I love Italy, Spain and France, but really love Italy the most and feel at home there or like I belong. We’ve made a lot of trips to Italy and have made long lasting friendships with people there. When it comes time to retire, we’d like to live in either Italy, Spain, Andorra, or France.

BTW, I’m not a diver but would like to learn and try sometime.

What’s your favorite cocktail should be the next topic 😂😂

Your vaca destinations would change once you become diver. Your wife would probably hate you sort of... Central America has some amazing diving conditions!

Munich is phenomenal. Great food and so much great beer. I really loved the Hofbrauhaus beer as well. Another place I gained a ton of weight.

Cheers, Pete

When I was a student at Leysin American School, a couple dozen of us spent two weeks touring Bavaria and Austria. When in Munich, we spent many hours at the Hofbrauhaus. Our Proctor got so hammered, we had to pour her into a taxi to get her back to the hotel and tuck her into her bed! Well, the girls handled that last part...

Well the best beer comes from where I used to get on to the schoolbus.

Waldshaus Pils, made in the Southern Black Forest.

I'd go with either Pilsner Urquell, or Staropramen

Both Czech in origin, and very lovely.

Draught or Bottled???

The draught beers are so dependent on how they are kept. My Favourite used to be Harveys Bitter (of Lewes, Sussex) if it was kept well but if the landlord didn't know how to keep it......yuck.

Bottled beer I used to like the Czech stuff. Budvar was one that was easily available but if it was Czech it was usually good.

I say "used" to like because I don't drink beer anymore😞

I approve of this topic! 😉

I really like me some good India Pale. "Delicious IPA" from Stone Brewery is my #1. The #2 is "Sitting Bulldog" from Gotlands Bryggerier.

My votes, for each country I've ever had a beer in:

Colombia: Club Colombia black, or an Águila if I want something lighter.
USA: I've had a Miller and a Dos Equis. Those are the good ones I remember.
Brazil: Brahma
Argentina: Andes (either red or black, but a blond goes well also). But there are several crafted beer breweries here, so I end up having a Porter or a Cream Stout usually. It's harder to find in a bar a bottled beer than a crafted one, at least in the zone I live (which expats love).

Cheers!🍻

My favourite beer is no beer.

Curse me now, I'm ready, I can take it...

My alcohol intake is "almost" zero. I say "almost" because every now and again I buy a bottle of Jack Daniels and pour a few glugs into my coffee. I don't make a habit of it though because hyper intelligent feline overlord representatives need to stay sharp.

Cats rule and they don't drink beer. Beer is for dogs.

IMO German beers are the best.

Spaten, Warsteiner, and Paulaner.

Another good beer, but with a unique taste, is Heineken.

I've come to the conclusion that there are no bad German beers.

For Portugal, Superbock hits the spot.

Being Irish, I would have to second Kilkenny and Guinness.
