March 14, 20233 yr The HJet is true to form of the real aircraft and the developer has done an amazing job and the HondaJet is an amazing real world aircraft. This does make it a preferred single pilot aircraft. However, for the sim, I find myself quite bored flying it because it is so heavily automated. I find myself feeling like I'm in an old default aircraft where nothing works yet it flies. With the HJet, everything works, but you don't do anything with it; the plane does it for you. For my style of simming (obviously everyone is different) I find myself bored in the sim. Real world is different because the automation greatly reduces pilot fatigue and workload. With that said, I still highly, highly recommend the HJet as it is modeled and developed fantastically and my opinion is greatly in the minority and others thoroughly enjoy flying the HJet. Cheers, Eric
March 14, 20233 yr I only use it for very long distance flights (and consequently, not very often) but I wouldn't be without it. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

It's clickbaity, and with it going on 11 pages and alive 8 months later, I'd hate to be the dev with this many replies and a title like that. Close to 9 months after I started this thread, folks are still getting the vapors over the title? Avsim is the gift that keeps on giving..... If it gets to 5 pages I might have a look. This one however, I looked at straight away. And that was my point. 28 minutes ago, tup61 said: Exactly. It's just that I expected the Hjet to have a little bit more things to do since it is so very popular. There are very extensive checklists to follow and plenty to do. Not sure why you expected "a little bit more things to do". Plus, you'll be spending plenty of time entering your flight plan into the Garmin, selecting SIDs and STARs, etc. 26 minutes ago, N6154Q said: With the HJet, everything works, but you don't do anything with it; the plane does it for you. I mean, even the Fenix Airbus has quite a few buttons inop and I just like everything to work, even though that 'everything' isn't much. 😉 So I think I will get this one in the end anyway... 9 minutes ago, Ricardo41 said: There are very extensive checklists to follow and plenty to do. I like that. It just feels a bit different than using old fashioned buttons LOL In the Longitude I at least have to turn on some lights using push buttons...! 😉 I know my wishes seem to be a bit odd: I want to be able to do absolutely everything as in real life but I don't have the time (nor the wish) to make a day time job of it and at the same time I don't want to do nothing LOL Anyway, the fact that this plane seems to be simulated very complete will probably make me buy it in a couple of days. 😉 BTW Is there a POH downloadable somewhere which covers the E2 version? I don't believe it does; I tried on the weekend to do a test and if it does work I could not figure out how to do it. So far that is my only small disappointment with this aircraft. MSFS 2024. I just wear an oxygen meter on my right thumb and if the reading goes below 90 I find a place to land immediately. That on advice from my cardiologist............. March 15, 20233 yr How ironic the title of this thread is the same reaction we had to flying the real airplane to and from from a short(er) runway on max range trip 🙂 SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Scares the heck out of my passengers when I announce why I am landing! lol! I did not mean this to take away the least from the Honda Jet, which is the aircraft I am primarily flying now. I was just the other day watching a YouTube video and the pilot was going through the checklists and tested the oxygen and I when I saw and heard him do it I thought I wonder if the HJet simulates that, similar to the PMDG, and was a little disappointed it was not there. But it takes nothing away from a brilliant aircraft. As for not having to push buttons and flick switches, this was never central to me to enjoy an aircraft. I do enjoy learning aircraft and will often fly one for an extended period of time without switching to really learn it. If the aircraft has buttons that need pushing, great, but the important part of simulation for me was always planning out the flight, confirming the route, checking weather and alternates, checking for TFR's -- yea I actually do this and plan around them -- programming it and then monitoring the flight to a landing. It is about a successful mission and not how many buttons I need to push. MSFS 2024.
