New update from Aamir on upcoming Fenix changes

Sounds good, no unnecessary chatter about delays because of stomach problems, just hard work and clear & solid info.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Yep, thats right.  Iff this thing goes seriously big (and some early indicators are showing that) then what happens?, Arena sell-outs, already going on unless that is wrong 😃

i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Wake me when there's a massive performance upgrade. 😆

Love the Fenix and appreciate the fixes and enhancements, but spoiled by PMDG performance on my modest machine.

Aamir mentions "future projects."  My guess would be the A319 or A321 for MSFS.

Part of me is hoping we'll see a Pro-Sim based 737 from Fenix one day but even if we do I'm not expecting it any time soon.

What's the point? We already have a very high quality 737 from PMDG. All it's missing is an EFB which is coming.

I would prefer if they work on unreleased plane. I'd love to see a study level A340 or A330.

Because: choice.

Who's to say that with more developers brought in, while one Fenix team works on Airbuses, a separate team couldn't create an even better 737 offering?

This 'one-and-done' dismissive attitude that some flight simmers announce publicly is frustrating.
I guess PMDG shouldn't bother with a 757, since BlueBird Simulations and Just Flight will get their version out to market first? What happens if people want a cheaper MD-80 or a lower-priced range of CRJs?

AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; MSI RTX 3080 Ti ; 32GB Corsair 3200 MHz; ASUS VG35VQ 35" (3440 x 1440)
Fulcrum One yoke; Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack Airbus edition; MFG Crosswind rudder pedals; miniCockpit FCU; CPFlight MCP 737; Logitech FIP x3; TrackIR

MSFS; Fenix A320; A2A PA-24; HPG H145; PMDG 737-600; AIG; RealTraffic; PSXTraffic; FSiPanel; REX AccuSeason Adv; FSDT GSX Pro; FS2Crew RAAS Pro; FS-ATC Chatter

1080TI ..... bye, bye.  Those of us with modern hardware want devs to push the limits.  Next gen graphics cards and CPU's are almost here.  Suggest you need the performance upgrade and not the sim.

You missed his point. He was saying that the PMDG 737 is already top quality and a Fenix offering could not add anything substantial. Your examples, however, show variants of very different quality / depth. For the latter there is obviously a market, for the former not.

Personally I believe they could do better than the PMDG version so I'd like to see them try.

I agree - there are enough iterations of 320's and 737's. Let's see something else.

That's fine, but when you're asked to pay more for the graphics card than for the entire system .....

My guess is Fenix will develop the A350 after they finish off the A320 series.  This would really put them on the bleeding edge of development, something I think (suspect) Aamir and team rather enjoys being a part of.  The A330 would be the “safer” choice though.
