Out of the aircraft you listed get the Milviz 310 and the Boeing 247. the CRJ is ok, stay away from the Concorde. If you want an airliner go with the best and that is the PMDG 737 or the Fenix A320 they are the top tier by a long shot. MD 82 is too expensive but but I bought it anyways for the fidelity, you may look into the BAE 146 also. Edited July 12, 20223 yr by jbdbow1970

July 12, 20223 yr Author Well, it's easier than searching the forums for answers in case of issues or what not, see what people recommend... I had Raising Cane's for dinner, but it isn't that good. AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram

July 12, 20223 yr 310 414 In that order. Edit: The 247D hasn't quite lived up to expectations (if you read opinions here), The Beech 18 is pretty and fun but of course skin-depth in simulation depth (but arguably worth the $15 just because it's such a beautiful aircraft). JU52: what a waste of $15 that was for me ... 😐. The P38 is good fun (anything from Flying Iron is) but it's more sluggish (in roll) than I'd have imagined, and as a result I don't fly it as often as I probably should. Trislander ... same as Islander for me: lacks good modelling and textures (we were spoiled with two very good Islanders in X-Plane, so hard to go backwards from there). The C310 and C414 are both interactive and need your attention for flights. Both more than capable of cross-country flying and both great for night flying. Jets? HJet worth a try, of only to literally smell the glare shield and get a glimpse of future avionics tech. While it has lacking modelling behind the cockpit the system depth is pretty good. July 12, 20223 yr C310. Also because you can fly it with a more or less glass panel or a completely 'glass-less' old school panel (including DME), which I was very happy with after being disappointed by the 'steam gauge' C172 in MSFS Premium. I currently have only two planes installed: the Fenix A320 (probably not your cup of tea) and the Milviz C310. I don't need anything else. (Though I'd love to see a Dash 8 Q400 in 'Fenix quality'...!!!)
July 14, 20223 yr The B247D is as far as I know, one of the very few aircraft offering old time radio navigation. Some people like to shoot old muzzleloading Kentucky rifles modified with protruding magazines for to hold more rounds. Or maybe adding a revolving cylinder behind the frizzen for six quick shots. And we have computer games where reloading old guns is done with a quick keypress. And some prefer sim flying old planes, or operating old machinery and mechanisms, the way they operated historically. Modern navigation is safer for the crew and passengers. Self defense with only one shot available is not ideal in real life, and unlike smokeless, black powder is an explosive. In the real and sim worlds, using vintage methods can be tedious and is done for appreciation of old methods and values. Not because they are practical or convenient. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Have no issues with the 247D. Once I got the hang of it the engines start every time and never had an engine fail or catch fire. I do find the way it spawns with no fuel after a crash landing annoying but that is a very minor issue. People are being very nit picky for a $20 aircraft and a most of the criticism relates to advanced engine management that is fine once you know what to do and more to the point you COULD JUST TURN OFF and still have a bargain aircraft better than anything else at the $20 price point. The other issue is people seem to expect instant one on one responses and near instant bug fixes from MSFS developers (which is unrealistic especially for the smaller devs). The Beechcraft 18 is a Carenado product at a Carenado price and is pretty much what you expect from Carenado - looks amazing, FM is acceptable, system depth is average, a few bugs to be sorted (such as autopilot and landing lights are interlinked in some weird fashion) but no game killers, it always bounces on landing as expected from a Carenado tail dragger they all do it. Great plane for the price. Edited July 16, 20223 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
July 16, 20223 yr Seriously, not sure if the Flysimware Cessna 414 comes with a hidden shot of opioid, but this aircraft is SO addictive. For more, the staff on their discord channel are super responsive. I seen update being released a day after someone complained about a bug. This is my main aircraft in my OnAir Manager career. I love everything about it.
July 16, 20223 yr Author Still no Dash 8 - q400's around huh. The Majestic was my favorite plane in the old sims. I tried the freeware q400, but it's not that good, has too many issues. Edited July 16, 20223 yr by Alpine Scenery AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram

Great plane for the price. The Beechcraft 18 is pretty decent, but an absolute beast to land. I also bought the Kodiak 100 but not my cup of tea, and neither of these 2 purchases will likely get regular flying time. That said, the 18 is pretty fun to fly, but I'm going to have to cough up the money for the PMDG 737 I feel. Edited July 16, 20223 yr by Alpine Scenery AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram
