For historical data and other types of meteorological messages you also have:

It's not on SkyVector - it's OGIMET.

I just like the layout of the site I posted, shows everything including active runway recommended. https://metar-taf.com/KDFW

If you have an iPad or iPhone, the FltPlan Go app is very easy to use for METARs and charts.

With their software for PC, the iPad or iPhone will act as a moving map with sim aircraft shown on the map and approach/airport charts.

My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet

Working on MSFS 2024 versions.

I love Skyvector for the US.  Sadly, the default weather program for MSFS is terrible at generating clouds for me.  I'm currently flying from KMQI-KOFP in the Caravan.  ZERO clouds using MSFS despite the METARS in both MSFS and Syvector showing partly cloudy.  Switch over to REX (had to revert to SU9 recently to use) and clouds are there.  It's not the same though....MSFS, when working, generates the overall active weather environment more accurately. IMHO.

Did the same flight yesterday but in reverse.  Used the default MSFS weather and everything looked great.  Cloud depiction was spot-on.  I wish I could make even an ounce of sense of this.

I use this site:

https://runway.airportdb.io/

Gives you the metar and logical runway overview.

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

Nice!

I love https://www.windy.com , especially the ios app.

Just click on the small plane icon at the bottom to see all stations, or do the icao search on top left. You can also see the cloud coverage, average wind, thunders in real time per menus at the right. Really nice 👌

Oh man, that's a handy one that I didn't know about.  Thanks for this

These sites are neat even if you're not flying, and are just interested in the weather.

KMSO (Missoula, Montana) currently has an air temp of 79degF and a dewpoint of only 39degF.   That's dry!  No wonder they have a SIGMET for fire-fighting airplanes nearby today.
