Here is the summary of issues I have found with the new version of PRO ATC SR. Their forum verification process is broken so I am posting here in the meantime.

1. Cannot hide annoying PRO ATC SR popup. There is no button to toggle it on and off, which is a pretty big oversight, in my opinion. No one wants some ugly gray window covering the beautiful scenery.
   
   
    
2. Cannot disable pro atc services if you want to switch to VATSIM. It forces you to quit it entirely and you cannot restart mid flight.
   
   
    
3. If god forbid you start flight at the wrong airport, you get a non stop error spam you can only stop through the Task Manager. Doesn't seem like it was very well tested.
   
   
    
4. Cannot set volumes differently for cabin crew vs ATC. The volume slider also doesn't seem to work quite right. Can barely hear them at 80% and it's extremely loud at 90%.
    
5. It keeps trying to give you weird heading changes mid flight when there are none needed.
    

Overall I would say that this addon is too new and still has room for improvement. I would also like to point out that the dev only somewhat became responsive when the new version came out, and would not really respond beforehand to anyone's post for the most part. In other words, buyer beware.

Welcome to the world of Pro ATC....😉  You'll get used to it. Been there, done that, finally got fed up.

Still the same things as before,

For example I can not change the audio device, except somewhere in windows settings.

The  background chatter sometimes totally disappears, only way to get it back is to reinstall.

For me I use FSHud now they actively update the software twice a week and listen to feedback.
I also generates its own traffic form BGL, like Voxatc used to do.

If you use AIG or Simple traffic liveries with it you will see airliners matching the airports where you are.

😆 It is nearly 10 years old. And there hasn't been any real support or bigger development for years. 

However, it is still my favourite ATC addon. But it could be so much better if the dev would be more enthusiastic about his own product.

I like PF3. After batting my head against the wall with Pro ATC for a couple of years, I switched to PF3. It gets updates several times a year, and the developer is always on their forum every day to answer questions, sometimes within hours.

Haha, good to know that it's not just me being difficult, but that others have also found issues with this addon. Wish I could get a refund but it's probably too late. Cheers!

The mods and users on the forum sometimes can help. If it is a bug that needs fixing, that can take forever to get resolved.

& still does, particularly on the ground ..... proactively controlling departure queues, approach vectoring, parking at coded gates, crossing runways etc. & with all callsigns pronounced by many sapi5 TTS voices, controllers & AI pilots alike.

It is not new at all. Everything you described are bugs that have been there for ages in previous versions.

The reason I say new is because a new version called PRO ATC SR came out, as opposed to the old PRO ATC X. Seems to have some of the issues the original had, and some new ones.

It is not really a new version. I bet there's 95% of the old code of PRO ATC X untouched. Financially, yes, it is indeed a new version ... I asume that's maybe the only reason why it is a new version 😉

Only the user interface and all the menus of VoxAtc are really complicated and old fashioned. If they make a version for Msfs I hope it will not be a clone of the former version  just like ProAtc. It is great software but also many times crashing and unstable

Flew into Queenstown under Pro-ATC-SR int the FBW A320N at the weekend and it worked flawlessly. Impressive given that the aircraft isn't 'officially' supported. I'm lucky to have 2 monitors so the menu thing doesn't affect me. I've tried the others and I prefer Pro-ATC. 

A new UI using the toolbar for VR users and a new TTS voice system would have at least made sense for this 'new' version.

Does FSHUD create it's own traffic like vocatc? Have you noticed any conflicts like an opposite side takeoff for example?
