September 9, 20223 yr Looks really nice. Hopefully performance is better or not too much worse than stock LAX. EGLL was bad and KSAT isn't great either. Still on the fence about Inibuilds.
September 9, 20223 yr There's nothing here! 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
September 9, 20223 yr Maybe terminal interiors are like Zones in first person shooter maps, where you effectively "cut off" any performance hit by "hiding" areas until you're closer to the area. Personally I'd rather they do them properly, add people and not have it looking so empty. The tools exist for moving characters in this Sim, use them. It definitely does it for me, but only if there are people modelled inside, otherwise the effect does the opposite: some post-nuclear war airports. Exactly, I hate the phrase 'go big, or go home' but it sort of comes to mind. Either they bring the interior to life or it just looks weird.

I think Brussels have done it quite well, with moving people inside the terminal. Or perhaps I remember incorrectly. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
September 9, 20223 yr Looking fantastic. Love the exterior detail. As for interiors, cut it all out. This is not interior airport/passenger simulator. Performance is at a premium as it is and especially on such mega airports with mega traffic. Rather they take the time they spent on interiors and make proper gate airline assignments and sizes. September 9, 20223 yr To anyone complaining about the interiors, do you have proof to back your claims up that these are racking up resource utilization? Show me. Jacek G. September 9, 20223 yr I respect the opinion of those who are not interested in rendered terminal interior modelling, but I want to see progress being made with respect to airport detail. I hate pulling up to a gate and seeing low resolution textures and opaque windows. The year is 2022, and it is time to switch up a gear. Enjoying the sight of detailed interior modelling when I am parked adds a significant extra layer of immersion to the simulator for me, and I am quite prepar3d to suffer a slight performance hit to get it (should that indeed be the case). If I had a choice between 30fps and bland textures or 20 fps and detailed terminal interiors, I would take the latter every time. EDIT: My resistance to change may crumble soon if the recent repairs done to the local cables stabilise my internet connection.....
