While flying the Q400 on P3D I felt quite similarly. The cockpit layout is horrible if you come from a 737 or A320 or even a CRJ and having to press "alt sel" every time is beyond absurd. I forgot it so many times (and in consequence levelled off at the previous altitude) that I quite quickly ruled out flying the Q400 on Vatsim.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I'm most likely going to study and fly the MSFS Q400 only, for a solid 3 months. I loved it that much in FSX.

I must have flown it for a solid 12 months at LEAST doing almost nothing but the same real world Wideroe flights in Norway. Never a dull moment. Can't wait for a good Q400 in MSFS... but I guess I'll have to. 😉 But until then I am very happy with the Fenix A320 so I won't really wait anyway. 😉

Yes, great post, I remember reading it back in the day when I flew the Q400 in P3D. And it's exactly why I loved that plane LOL

This is definitely a plane you would only want to fly in a SIM, sounds like...
It will be great in the SIM though, no burning oil smells here 🙂

I realize they are a small team and move slower.  But the silence is somewhat concerning.  Anybody know if they are still working on bringing this plane to msfs?  Been months since we've heard from them.
