Getting into the WT CJ4

Featured Replies

Hi,

i would like to start getting into a new airplane after Sim Update 10 drops.

I would like to learn the WT CJ4. I see its currently on 0.12 and Beta so my question would be.

Does it make sense to start using this plane for actual learning and serious flying? Or is it still at a point were it only makes sense to use if you want to help find bugs?

IMO this is one of the best aircraft in the sim and WT has taken it a long way toward proper operations - if you come up with any bugs let WT know, of course - I certainly haven't.  It is outstanding.  The manual they include is excellent, but parts can be confusing so I would recommend the following videos to get you going:

MSFS 2020 | TUTORIAL: How to fly the Working Title Cessna Citation CJ4 | Complete Lesson

Working Title CJ4 v0.11+ Full Flight TUTORIAL | simBrief Integration, WX Datalink, ATC [MSFS]

I've never knew/noticed it was in Beta. So just go fly it, you'll like it!

I say go for it. This was the first stock plane I decided to master because it worked so well. It has only gotten better.  The videos will help.

Among the freeware aircrafts, it's one of the best. Payware aircrafts are on another level (at least some of them).

Doesn’t it have problems with blank screens?

i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

Superb aircraft, probably the best business jet available for MSFS, along with the Hondajet.

Contrary to above, don't bother telling WT if you find bugs, as it is being 100% rewritten along with a remake of the Longitude which is looking amazing!

I have it and several others do, but seems not universal. Guess you’re one of the lucky majority!

it is not your classic ab initio trainer for a reason, but that is up to you.

a.k.a. "partial panel", worse than MEL. standby panel also kaput. not approved even for VFR.

empty Community folder (except CJ4 mod by workingtitle), SU10 beta, DX11, RTX 3090 @ 4K

Working Title CJ4 v0.12.13 and v0.12.12, both white panels. The default CJ4 works fine, it is just the currently not-100%-working tilte mod that is causing the white panels.
