You listed airports that are in works or already done. KSLC, KPHX and KMSP are in developed by Pacsim and Flight Beam. Atlanta was already released by Imaginsim but I prefer the Asobo version. And KDFW is nice done already by Asobo. KDAL and some of downtown Dallas is also in works by iblueyonder.

yeah, I get it, all 'in the works' - been that way for a year

KLAX was also done by Asobo, so I dont get your response about KDFW

To give some context, KSLC was a construction site until not that long ago. No good developer would ever work on an artist's impression, rather than the final real-world result.

Small or mid-quality developers are scared away from the bigger, more popular airports. Takes them too long to complete and there's always the threat of a bigger / better developer announcing that they are well into development on a competitor version.
Asobo's default premium / deluxe handcrafted big airports seem to be 'good enough' for many (at the moment).

Quality recreations of big airports take time. Flightbeam wouldn't be at their bar-setting high level if they took just a few months to throw out any old attempt of KMSP, KPHX of KSFO.
Just look at FeelThere: KLGA, KLAS, OMDB and EDDF all released in just 8 months - and it shows...

Frustrating to wait a long time for your preferred airport to be finished, but the wait is often well worth it.

I hope they can take some flaws out. At taxiway Alpha I see cars passing, which I think should go underneath. Vram usage is to high, and at some points scenery is not really blending in nicely. But overall, still the best LAX, compared to feelthere and Asobe deluxe. Flytampa is still the best.

Two main takeaways for me...Performance & Textures...Not worth the price for now, in my opinion.

Sounds like you’re impatient. We’re all waiting for quality airports. The default KDFW is actually nicely done and will hold us until a quality payware version is released.

This. It happens at many airports with underground roads, but also tunnels, underwater tunnels etc. Probably something that Asobo needs to fix - but perhaps there's a workaround.

It's probably an easy thing to ridicule, but this has been mentioned by 3rd party devs e.g. Pyreegue.

Apparently Sepvuleda Blvd/PCH1 is suppose to tunnel underneath KLAX?

This was not an issue in the earlier World Updates, as I've been flying out of KLAX since MSFS release.

You can believe what you want, but if one has some knowledge about how things work it's obvious it has some impact on performance (depending on each person's system) because the CPU and GPU have more work to do. Of course it doesn't have the same impact on an i9 12900kf with a 3090 that it has on an i74790k with a 2060.

I don't have a very strong opinion on this, just pointed to what Pyreegue has mentioned. Of course it will affect performance, but apparently not that much. Not having any inside info on this I'm leaning towards trusting what Pyreegue has to say on this matter.

This happens at Madeira too, has since SU10.
PS I believe that may be the Sepulveda tunnel underneath A.

Unfortunate to hear that some are experiencing performance issues, I was going to pick this up this week but will hold off now. Designing, modelling and texturing an airport is one thing, but optimization seems to be a particular challenge for new developers. The same thing happened with CYYZ by Reg Designs. That airport was a stuttering mess for me, but FlyTampa's version runs very well. It seems the steepest learning curve for new developers is how to produce a well textured airport and keep performance up.

This version KLAX performance is terrible for now, but I'm sure Inibuilds will work on better optimization and performance in time as they have with other products.

Until then I'm back to using Asobo KLAX

Just noticed your reply as I posted mine above. Yeah I think it is happening since SU10, as it happens at Madeira too.

And yeah I’m 95% sure it’s sepulveda tunnel, used to drive under it daily.

Did something happen after SU10 with underground road traffic suddenly becoming visible? I can't remember if I saw this before SU10.
