With this type of performance, gsync is going to come In to play a lot! So are high Hz screens. Now we’re in dreamland ! Waited decades for something like this.

It’s a bit unreal, yes. Tried the exceptionally fast Vertigo the other day in DLSS3 and with g-sync. Unbelievably smooth. And that was overflying inibuild’s KLAX and all that LA area photogrammetry. I put a max fps in NCP at 120 as I don’t really need higher fps than my OLED refresh rate.

Just made another video, this time of a Fenix takeoff at KLAX. Just had to brush up my airliner skills, it's been a few months. Currently in a hold over twentynine palms VOR, then I'll head back for an approach and another video.

17 fps ? you'll want the new Metro Lake or 7900x3D, if you want it or not!

AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090,  Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

How can this be ?

I have seen Captain Canada YouTube channel taking off from this Airport 3rd party add on using i9-10900 running al cores at 5.1 with a rtx3080 which much beter frame rates with the Fenix and PMDG then what we see now !!!

what is your memory speed ?

how do you connect to your TV ?

Vsync ?

etc.  This cannot be correct

127 fps, have never seen that in any fs-sim before. impressive. what took us so long? reminds me of Jetfighter 2, by SubLogic (inventors of FlightSimulator), some 40 years ago.

Yeah, just saw that lol 😂 The main thread is hammered and my poor 12900K is running at max. I'm fine most of the time - KLAX is just one of the worst places in my sim at the moment, with all that PG, iniBuild's KLAX, payware Santa Monica and KBUR nearby, freeware port addon, AI traffic with FSLTL 4K models - and global AI ship traffic 🤐

Just trying to show the effect of DLSS3, that's the point of these videos. Right now in a hold over TNP at FL200 I'm getting 134 fps.

It's because of all the addons. Specs in my sig. Currently DDR5 running at 6000MHz. HDMI. G-Sync.

Vanilla KLAX:

And this is with Asobo's KLAX, no live traffic, no GAIST, and the freeware mods removed.

Same as above but with real-time online traffic using FSLTL models:

Another thing is that I'm not using any external video capture equipment. The software video capture also puts a load on the main thread. Between 5-10 fps.

still surprising considering your previous KLAX video with lots of traffic and inside the Airbus cockpit @ no less than 45 fps anywhere.

On the previous video I didn't show the dev mode fps count though. Are you reacting to the DLSS3 AI "fake" frames fps output or the dev mode "real" fps?

EDIT: Just had to go and check - looks like DLSS3 fps is about the same in both videos - 30-50fps.

still, stuttering on the runway,18 fps and 19.8 GB VRAM in use at 0:24 into the video? perhaps you needed to reboot and there were some remnants from a previous session? I get such low fps when I switch between VR, 2D and back to VR again. perhaps reboot and try that exact scenario again?

Just learned a bit more on the difficulties of capturing DLSS at high frame rates from this Digital Foundry video. At 00:30 they talk about some of the challenges, like the max 60fps cap at YouTube videos but more importantly the fact that the recording itself eats up resources. In my excitement sharing these videos I didn’t consider such issues. Now that the delirium after getting the card has settled though, I realize I won’t be able to properly show how DLSS3 looks in the sim.
