Is the Virtuoso headset compatible with Dolby Atmos? The Virtuoso headset does not officially support Dolby Atmos. Uninstalling the iCUE software will allow you to use Dolby Atmos on your Virtuoso headset, but you will no longer be able to use any of the iCUE software features. No you can disable the 7.1 settings for the headphones in iCue and use Atmos instead. I only had to do that once. This way, cuts out any audio lag from trying to use earc. Same. Been using Atmos for years without issues with my 5.1 setup. It really adds to the immersion! HDMI from GPU to TV, pass-through in TV sound settings then my BluSound receiver picks up the signal and decodes it. Edited November 15, 20223 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
November 15, 20223 yr Make sure you choose Atmos in the 'Spatial Audio' box in your sound settings under 'Headset' I seem to have to do this every time which is annoying. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

I've parked the drone cam on the runway and watched aircraft take off. Even with a 5.1.2 setup like mine the impression is that an aircraft just flew right over your head. November 18, 20223 yr Hi all. When I right click on my task bar speaker icon. spatial sound is always off. I have Dolby and also Dts installed and used to have a choice of both but not anymore. I have a Rever G2. Any ideas how I could fix this Edited November 18, 20223 yr by Paulcoy
November 18, 20223 yr I did install Dolby Access application to test Dolby Atmos for Headphones with my Reverb G2. The problem is that the headphone is not visible without running the Mixed Reality Portal. It reserves the headphone and Dolby Access can't play test sounds. Do not know how to finish the setup. November 18, 20223 yr Keep in mind that if your flying in VR using Windows Mixed Reality, the only spatial sound that can and will be used in WMR is Windows Sonic. I have Atmos and like it but can't use it in VR. Nobody will tell you that before you purchase Atmos. LouP
November 18, 20223 yr Many Thanks LouP. yes this is the first time I've heard this. The options disappear from my taskbar icon once I start MSFS. Now I know why. Thanks Edited November 18, 20223 yr by Paulcoy
November 18, 20223 yr Thanks for the app suggestion @St Mawgan... I remember looking at virtual spatial audio years back but forgot it existed. Tried a few demos with my Sony WH1000XM4's and it makes a slight difference. I have some nicer Sennheisers that I'll need to give it a shot on and need to try in some games as well. Speaking of audio, wondering if anyone else uses the headphone simulation in MSFS? I know it kind of negates the point of the nicely recorded audio, but if I were flying IRL I'd have the noise canceling headset on for sure! The simulated electrical(?) interference is a nice touch as well.
