  • For no reason (other than being of Polish descent) I really love this aircraft. It's the antithesis of all these 'orrible bizjets that clutter up my MSFS hangar. I'd love to own one in RL. Token

  • i found an old soviet manual http://aviaclub.ru/uploads/media/Vilga-35A.pdf  According Page 11 has endurance table  best range (500km) is achieved cruising around 1600ft, at 60 kts . Which should take

Excellent!  I have just had a notification as well.

As expected, GotFriends will be very active jumping on any issues - they are excellent developers, even on their freeware - they never abandon it.
Even the freeware Savage Grravel has had so many updates and improvements I have lost count.  It is an excellent aircraft.
Note also that, when Asobo make a change to the sim, like prop CFD, they go back add add that capability (even in their freeware).  This is unlike some 'established' payware developers I could mention.

I really do hope they do well out of this financially as it will encourage them to develop other aircraft.
I know they love their bush aircraft, but I would love them to venture out into mainstream GA to show what they can do - there are still plenty of gaps.
I would love to see something like a Grumman AA-5, or even a small commuter such as a Piper Navajo - which I really miss from the sim.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Once it hits the marketplace it should do well.

If they get permission and have the time to do a variant of Patey's Draco they will likely have a runaway hit on their hands.

The issue with direct sales is most people who buy direct seem to be enthusiasts and enthusiasts are likely to already have a hanger full of Stuff like the Husky and Zenith and hence are in no rush to add another STOL straight away.

i am not so sure, price is a tad high for console users, for a stol single prop.

Much better to think of it as a versatile utility aircraft that just happens to be STOL capable.

Personally Im more into flying it than analysing projected sales.

Ive had a few flights now and I've yet to find anything that kerbs my enjoyment, it's  got the balance of handling qualities, systems depth (ok its a simple machine in that department but modelled well) and visuals just about right imo and is fast becoming a favourite.

P.S. definately noticed the slower oil temp rise after the update, shutting the oil cooler flaps till warmed up is now a must do thing

Call we weird but I'd actually prefer a normal Wilga 2000 with a Lycoming Engine to the Draco.

The Draco is fun no doubt but for some reason practical Wilga designs just appeal to me more 🙂

I seem to remember a John Belushi film where a college fraternity gathered for feast and drinks. They were all shouting: WIL GA! WIL GA! WIL GA!

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Here in Australia, Wilga refers to a native tree similar in appearance to the European Willow tree and it is extremely common in the bush in outback NSW and Queensland.

Hmmm I see why a willow is called 'weeping'...

I get that and further I actually like the original Radial engined version even more.

I've no interest in a Draco its an entirely different machine

I'm with you on that. I like my Wilga as the good folks at PZL intended it to be, not some overhyped look-at-me status symbol. 🙄

What?  No Vision Jet for you then!

I could fill a few pages with screenshots, but here are just a few of this little GEM!
