DX12 and ground texture bleed through.

Recommended Posts

As mentioned before, I used to suffer the same issues. Since setting CCleaner to clear the Direct X shader cache before shutting down the PC for the night, I haven't had the problem. It might not fix the disease, but it certainly alleviates the symptoms.

The fact that the debug setting fixes it tends to point to Asobo being able to fix the issue permanently if they attended to it.  Just a matter of their priorities maybe.

I love it when at work people procrastinate 10 minutes tasks because they are busy with a 6-month project 🙂

Inefficient way of working and also very stressful, as many issues pile up in a mountain of s**t instead of being addressed rationally one by one.

DLSS is still a blurry mess in my opinion.

Yeah, it's a bummer! I got quite a good increase in fps with DLSS, but I wasn't prepared to tolerate the unreadable, blurry PFD and ND in the PMDG 738, which is my 'go to' aircraft. A shame, it would be great if they can sort it out.

Four months and 2 SU later.... and the issue is still there... It was wonderful to have such a smoothness with frame generation extended to cards not series 4, but with this bug it is unusable...This bug and the one of changing ground textures in many areas (also in DX11)… it’s incredible how, after all this time, the devs have not fixed them. For me a sim with such bugs should not even be released!

msfs shouldn't have been released because of a beta feature.  okay, let's all go back to p3d and xp as they are far superior.

I cross fingers once again, but as I mentioned in another thread, since a full reinstall of Windows 11 and MSFS I don't have this issue anymore.

Oddily enough, for me it appeared only with SU14, along with other issues that pushed me to wipe the SSD and reinstall everything.

Now I have a very smooth experience, fast loading times, and no DX12 airport texture bug. I am using 546.31 hotfix drivers.

Before I waste time, can anyone else confirm that the issue is gone after reinstalling? Thanks!

There is no way any of us can confirm that for you. I never really had it in the first place. All you can do is try and see what happens on your particular set up.

I know and also defended the opinion that the issue is related to VRAM in any case, but since I lowered some settings to never run out VRAM, the frequency of the bug happening greatly reduced. Some airports still show it, but for others it is gone. Might be that a full VRAM somehow is one of, but not the only, trigger of the issue...

Don’t have the issue. Two pc’s here. Always DX12 . Using a 4080 and 4090, so what AnkH stated might be true…

I don't believe so. I have 16GB of VRAM and it happens when I'm not even using 9. It happens instantly or within seconds. I have also seen people claiming it's to do with switching to external view. No, I never do and it's still there immediately.

I also have 24gb and it appears randomly. nothing to do with VRAM

So why do some have this issue and others don’t ? If a scenery is not made according to the SDK then I can imagine that you see this. I only use either a P de L airport or an addon airport.

Myself I also never have CTD’s while others have them regularly …..
