Me too setting texture resolution to high fixes the issue, but frustrating to say the least...

Really?  Where?  In the sim or in Nvidia control panel?

I am not sure this fixes it you know.  You may find it reappears.  I have everything set as high as I can, and I still get it and so do others.  It's a sim or server side issue it seems.

I second this question! I have tried all settings from LOW to ULTRA on texture resolution in DX12 and this error will not go away for even a single flight. The only known fix is to go to DX11 but then I lose Frame Generation so it kinda defeats the purpose of an Nvidia 4 series card in the rig.

I can't see that you would have any performance issues using DX11 with your hardware until Asobo fixes the issue.

Tested setting In the sim, but maybe my placebo 😉  Curious what your experience will be...

hmmm it does look like that if you switch to texture high in msfs, it does not happen. I will test a bit more.

OK.  I just had a look at my settings in the sim.  My texture resolution was already set to Ultra as I suspected, along with just about everything else (except ambient occlusion, which seems a bit to dark on higher settings).

I won't get the chance to test tonight, which is a shame as I just bought the GotFriends Double-ender, but I wonder if it is the act of simply changing the setting that affects this.  Stranger things have happened with the sim!

I believe they advise a reset out of the sim when the setting is changed, so I will set mine one stage down from ultra tomorrow, quit the sim, then have a look.
If no joy, I will reset to ultra, restart the sim, and have another look at it.
It is worth trying to solve as the bug is the most annoying one for me at the moment.

Since I got my 4090 I've noticed this and it is really annoying, like you I've got everything FAR right in the settings 🙂  Hell why not.......pains me to move anything back to High (hehe) but I'll give this a go.

dx12 is unusable on my 3080, get massive cpu use spikes , switch back to dx11 and smooth as butter....

7900x3d , 64gb 6200mhz 30CL Ram, RTX 3080

Setting texture resolution to HIGH did not solve this issue for me, same thing occurs.  Oh well, wait for Asobo to fix or wait for 2024 version I guess.

I get the issue too sometimes. The fix is to enable dev mode, go to debug, select airport, then select draw debug. Then turn it off the same way you turned it on and disable dev mode. Works every time.

This happens in DX11, with various settings. DX12 as well.

I figured its more of an Asobo issue vs my hardware or settings. Same thing for "pop ups" upon approach/landing.

Or stay in the cockpit until takeoff... let's not forget that this issue affects only airports and only external views.

If you activate dev mode and make sure the menu is on auto-hide so it doesn't annoy you at the top of the screen, you can select a setting called debug airport (or something similar - I can't remember exactly), and that fixes it until you fly away from the airport and return again.  This is just in case you want to take some outside video or pictures.

The fact that the debug setting fixes it tends to point to Asobo being able to fix the issue permanently if they attended to it.  Just a matter of their priorities maybe.
