Just bought this from Simmarket. So one can remove those interior_clutter.bgl and cars.bgl files from the scenery folder in order to make the scenery lighter?

There's a little uncertainty regarding just how much performance can be gained by disabling these extra features.
Worth testing with everything turned on, and if performance is impacted, reduce to your liking and re-test.

If anyone's interested, here's how to disable extras if you bought from anywhere other than iniBuild's own store:

AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; MSI RTX 3080 Ti ; 32GB Corsair 3200 MHz; ASUS VG35VQ 35" (3440 x 1440)
Fulcrum One yoke; Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack Airbus edition; MFG Crosswind rudder pedals; miniCockpit FCU; CPFlight MCP 737; Logitech FIP x3; TrackIR

MSFS; Fenix A320; A2A PA-24; HPG H145; PMDG 737-600; AIG; RealTraffic; PSXTraffic; FSiPanel; REX AccuSeason Adv; FSDT GSX Pro; FS2Crew RAAS Pro; FS-ATC Chatter

Is there a way to get correct AI aircraft at the proper terminals? I had some random airlines parking up at T5 (with FSLTL).

Thanks

AMD Ryzen™ 9 9900X3D, AM5, Zen 5, 12 Core, 24 Threads, 4.4GHz, 5.5GHz Turbo
64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz Corsair Vengeance
32GB GeForce® RTX 5090 Graphics Card

I now tested the airport, free of any AI traffic, without all those ground clutter stuff and performance increased only marginally. Not surprised, because inibuilds uses a pretty harsh LOD on those clutter stuff, meaning if you fly above the airport in the drone (or a plane), most of this ground clutter is anyway not drawn... Don't know if it helps to get some FPS when sitting on a gate with Fenix or PMDG. In any case, I keep it disabled now, because I also did not see the difference and for ground services, I have GSX Pro.

Greetings, Chris

1440p and I admit to having a low LOD when flying tubeliners of 100. That is the main compromise I make when flying the heavy stuff because at the altitude that seems to matter at I tend to have my head in the panel and looking at charts anyway but all my other settings are ULTRA or HIGH. Road traffic at 25 or 35, I can't remember which and no default dimwitted airport vehicles. The settings I have on HIGH are the ones where there is litterally no observable difference when compared side by side to Ultra. To be honest, Even with them on ULTRA I'm almost never GPU limited anyway. It's allways the CPU pegging me back.

thanks, yep I have a bit higher res 3440x1440 lod is the same, might pick up Heatrow, but expect my fps with the fenix around the 40 FPS

Today I changed my graphics driver and performance without traffic is the same as previously but for some reason I'm getting much lower frames with FSLTL running. I'm tempted to go back to the old driver and see if it makes a difference but I don't think it is that. And given that the reason I changed driver is because the one I was using creates subtle but weird artifacts on the windscreen of aircraft I won't be going back to stay on it anyway. I'm not sure what it is but I'm struggling to keep it above 40 with FSLTL running and that is unacceptable to me. If I turn it off, straight back up to 56-60 again.

Perhaps it is a choice between AI and this airport for me after all.

running 22.11.2 no problems, AI has always been a FPS eater..... I use AIG TC controller and just have max 10 planes around, it's enough for me.

maybe after some reviews I will make the switch to AM5 and 7900x3d. MSFS is still cpu bound.

Yes, I was running 22.11.2 until a couple days ago when I saw this

It seems very unlikely to me that this is a driver issue but until I hear more I decided to roll back to 22.5.1. However I quickly realised the problem with the windscreens with that driver and so today went to 22.11.1

there were 2 drivers that month 22.11.2, first without WHQL, latest with WHQL, this one is giving me no problem for a month now.

LoL

With HD textures and no interior I am getting around 28-30 fps when using my 2x 4K view.

If I add AIG ac it drops to 22-26 fps.

I will try with no extras and SD textures to see what the maximum framerate is.Then I will add some extras

I even made try HD textures but resize some of them. Especially on the entrance sides of the airport.

And the upcoming FSPS app that lets us use dynamic LOD will also help…..

I think his theory may be correct and/or there is something else going on. Seems unlikely that this is caused by the correct driver. Not impossible but it is very unlikely. What I find most strange is that I have seen only this report and none from anywhere else in the world. I'd like more info. Were they all reference cards or were they coming in all shapes and sizes? Did they all have the same cooling block and how was it applied....That sort of thing.

Cracked dies suggest a manufacturing error to me though.

Anyway, I feel like I'm hi-jacking the thread so back to the airport.

I was excited to remove all the clutter and run with SD textures hoping I would finally be able use the Fenix above 15 FPS.  Granted I have a potato PC but I lived in hope I could reach 20 FPS.  But nope, FPS hardly changed.  This is running at 1080P, i7 4790k with a 1070 on Vatsim using AIG models.

Achilles from FSPS stated that they working on a Dynamic LOD app and January/February it would be ready.

As I have done some beta testing for them in P3D I will also beta test this app.

Btw : just found out that my low FPS were caused by the latest update from last week : both LOD sliders were set at max and everything else at Ultra…
