January 30, 20233 yr They are not running to a strict monthly schedule any more. The updates are done when they are done, which is the way to do it I think. The AAU1 might be released tomorrow though - that is my 'guess'. Unless WT know of any deal-breakers, I think it is good to go. All of the beta releases I have tested recently have been very good, with very few issues or incompatibilities with third party products - it's all going very much in the right direction. And even when there were some issues, they got fixed very quickly, normally within a few days, with WT working closely with PMDG in at least one example, TDS also I think. Unless your MSFS is 'mission critical', maybe you should consider joining the beta's. They have been good fun to test. January 30, 20233 yr This was posted 4 days ago on the FS2020 forums by a Community Manager in answer to a question on what the release date would be. Not sure if it still holds true! If it does, it would mean release tomorrow. Thread Link Hello We have previously announced that AAU1 is targeted for a full release prior the end of this month. That information has not changed. Thanks, MSFS Team Edited January 30, 20233 yr by Vel Spelling!

January 31, 20233 yr I think beta testers were waiting for a new iteration before the final release, so if that's the case, today will not be the day. January 31, 20233 yr They acknowledged a massive weather bug yesterday in their forum. The bug is for some reason clouds & precipitation just stop being injected into the sim. While there was close to some 500 responses to this bug in a forum post, all they did up until yesterday was tag it as “feedback logged”. Well then yesterday, Chewy who is a well known MSFS streamer, was doing a live stream and the bug showed up for him. Apparently this was the first time he saw it happen. It’s a random bug where all the weather works save for any clouds or precipitation being injected into the simulator. So he says on his stream he will text some people at Asobo he knows and link the thread from their forum. Lo and behold, the tag was changed to “bug logged”. What is highly irritating is a bug that has been present for quite a long time falls on deaf ears at Asobo but a streamer gets it one time and now they acknowledge it as a bug. Asobo (Seb) pays lip service to us all about how they listen to feedback but the reality is completely the opposite and your delusional if you think otherwise. The only silver lining in this mess is they are in fact now looking at it. So maybe that is why this might get delayed (or not). Eric

That's interesting because last night I flew from Palermo - Stansted - Bordeaux - Stansted and noticed that the clouds were not being injected to look anything like the METAR I was getting. In fact, I had no clouds at all, really. It's not the first time I have noticed this. I don't use the beta. 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2
January 31, 20233 yr I'm glad that Asobo or the MSFS team isn't rushing this release. Just take their time to get it right. MSFS is the civilian best flight simulator out there. And AAU1 will put it even further ahead of the competition. Just let them get it right, IMO.
January 31, 20233 yr We have been here with this live weather problem a few times before. I had it just last night actually. Clear skies initially, then after about 5 minutes - boom - instant thick clouds all around. But... Isn't the weather a server side thing rather than a beta problem?
