My 3060TI laughs at MSFS so just wondering.

Yes. Unequivocally. 4x series is 100% better than 3x series nvidia. That’s a fact. It’s double the frames. 

And if your 3060ti is laughing, my 4090 is screaming… 🙂

Whole lot for some, not much for others. Depends on each individual situation.

3060 ti is a great card at 1440p or less.

I had a 1080 ti and went to a 4080.  With frame gen I basically quadruple my fps in most situations.  And it's not just fps it's running tons of addons and panning in track IR is butter smooth.

Yes it did cost money hehe.  I spent 1400 USD on my 4080.

Ooof.  I looked at those and yeah new in the US as of Q3 2022z those were about 1200 bucks.  I decided spending the extra 200 was well worth it for the frame gen and dlss3.

So I've got a 3080ti and I just tried DX12+DLSS. I find that my displays (DU's on the 737) are sorta blurry looking, they're not as sharp as when I use TAA. Does that still happen on the 4XXX series GPU's? I really wanna upgrade to a 4090 but I dont want blurry DU's. Your thoughts?

Yeah dlss3 is supposedly better but it's still a little blurry.

They need to do something with the drivers I think.

In VR I just finally dlss because of the fps savings.  In 2d I go TAA unless I get flickers (from my non native gsysnc monitor), then I do dlss3.

hmm OK, maybe I'll wait before buying a 4090, They're soooo expensive in Canada. I gotta sell my 3080ti too, 

"fakeflyer737 Ron, I installed my new RTX 4080 today and tried DX12+DLSS3 in MSFS. The DUs in the PMDG 737 are indeed blurry, too blurry to my taste (may be because I wear glasses). Since I prefer a clear image at 30 FPS than a blurry one at 60 FPS, I am using TAA instead of DLSS and returned to DX11 (DX12 for some reasons gives me occasional white flashes across the screen). As Ryan mentioned, NVidia need to optimize the drivers. 

I paid $2056 CAD for this card (1788 + canadian sale taxes).

 

It’s absolutely incredible, completely lives up to the hype without a downside I can see.

Edit: worth mentioning you don’t need to use DLSS to use frame generation.  You can use TAA (or I assume others) with frame generation.  Not liking DLSS is not a reason to shy away from DX12/frame generation.

Make sure you have a gsysnc compatible monitor though as a minimum when using frame gen.  Without that you'll get weird vsync tearing and artifacts.

I am crying in 3090....
