February 2, 20233 yr I know this has been discussed In the past But I keep getting this error message saying no/slow connection And I check my connection and there is an issue? Has there ever been a solution to solve this? Chris Chiozza

Another thing that happened was that my 737 cockpit vanished and was replaced with the most laughably low resolution panel without any switches or screen or something. I thought it felt it may have been some sort of anti piracy feature kicking in but if it was I don't know why. Perhaps because of a connection issue, I have no idea. Anyway, my cockpit came back about a minute later. Odd. Edited February 2, 20233 yr by Jazz 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2
February 2, 20233 yr And the same connection issue just happened again as I was landing. Plastering its absurd green and red warning boxes right at the touch down zone of the runway spoiling my view and therefore my landing. Whoever decided they were a good idea combined with where they appear on the screen should be dipped in brine and beaten with damp kippers. They need to fix these recent connection issues and fast but in the mean time they should give someone the task of less intrusive connection warning boxes. Give the task to someone with a functioning brain that actually uses the sim. They literally could not show up in a less appropriate part of the screen. February 2, 20233 yr This is an OLD problem ... and resurfaces every time there's an update because the servers are overloaded. Worse still if there's another XBox title update at the same time. It doesn't matter how many people complain, MS refuse to upgrade the servers - and Asobo refuse to implement code that allows the sim to cope with the outages gracefully. When a product is so heavily dependent on online services (and doesn't offer a workable offline solution) and fails so frequently, then I'd say the product is technically "not fit for the purpose". A legal challenge (class action) may just work - but who's going to take on MS with its vast legal resources? Edited February 2, 20233 yr by Adamski_NZ
February 2, 20233 yr I get pazt the checking for updates by runnig the sim in the wee hours. Note that I'm hitting servers near LA CA. sp Edited February 2, 20233 yr by Sky_Pilot071

Way too many issues with this "software". 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
July 23, 20232 yr I am having this serious issue, five months on from the posting of this thread, and it still seems to be a major problem,, that as far as I can see, is not being addressed. If it is, then some kind of official response from Asobo should be published. I'm on the second day of being unable to use a product that I paid good money for! July 23, 20232 yr https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/636113-how-often-are-you-getting-connection-lost-alerts-and/ I'm getting Lost Connection at least EVERY flight now. I decided recently to go from WiFi to ethernet and it actually got worse which I assume must be coincidental. A particularly nasty part is very quickly it then presents an alert that I've been taken to OFFLINE mode, and then immediately after that get the Connection Success! message, but meanwhile it does not reestablish Bing World Graphics/PG as I continue to be OFFLINE. This is troublesome for me as I use A Pilot's Life and can't pause the sim w/o penalty to turn Online back on (it scores all flights towards my Pilot Rating, and that is the main reason I use APL) and so I'm stuck w/ fugly graphics until I can reestablish online mode after landing or at least getting to Initial Approach phase--even though it reconnected very quickly. This is the first time in 3yrs I've actually thought about the other sims. I hope this fix this fast. As I side point today I DL Addon Linker which heretofore I've had no use for but I think I do now: that addon had over 275,000 downloads--that should tell us something about how many users there are or have been!! I had a no connection message yesterday, 1st time for me, I googled it, and someone had similar, went into their settings and data had been turned off! I checked my settings, data was also turned off, no idea why, but turned it back on, all normal. Could be a totally different reason for you of course, but worth checking. July 23, 20232 yr I did read somewhere that ISPs were in the habit of throttling connections to servers with a high level of downloading and that it may be worth trying a VPN if your VPN server (of which there will be many) is reasonably fast. Apparently it may not always be the MS servers at fault, though the slow downs and lost connections do seem to become more frequent after updates.
