One more question. I remember a setting so that you could tell where your throttle was set and match it when AT is turned off. Does anyone know where in the MCP that setting is?

If you mean throttle position, then PMDG setup>options >simulation. On page 2, show thrust lever position.

Thanks , must have missed it. 😀

Bob,

The MCDU setting you requested to calibrate throttles after disconnecting  AT can be found as follows:

In MCDU, select PMDG Setup, then Options, then Simulation.

On p. 2 of Simulation options, select LSK 3L, Show Thrust Lever Position.

Set this to YES and there you go.

Hey Bob, great that you for the PMDG 737. It's probably my preferred airliner in MFS.

Btw, the post just above mine mentions the solution I adopted for reverse, and ir works just great!!!

I got to admit, I was hesitant to get the  737-600, but after flying it today, I am already hooked on the way it flies.

Just purchased the 737-900ER as I only fly Delta for Part 121 operations. I have the 99 dollar credit so cost me nothing. First 737 for MSFS for me.

What are Part 121 operations?

Exactly that too Bob, the "feel of flight"... It's particularly rewarding in this addon. I just own the first released, and honestly don't plan to buy another model, although your -800 has temped me too 🙂

Problem in the PMDG (maybe its an MSFS issue), if you go from full reverse to idle (pressing F1) it shoots your plane as if your throttle is at 80% N1. Now Fenix on the other hand made it very nice, when you in idle, you press F2 once and you go to idle reverse, you press again you in full reverse, you press F4 you in idle reverse, you press again you going back to idle. I wish PMDG had it like that.

If you reverse with a button (and not the throttle levers) you should instead just use your throttle. If you move your throttle a bit while on (full) idle, it goes out of reverse and to normal idle.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

That is exactly how I operate thrust reverse in P3Dv4. I have it mapped to Button 4 on my CH Flightstick Pro joystick, and a quick flick of the throttle wheel deactivates it.
