February 18, 20233 yr here it is again even with no objects displayed, don't know if you can tell anything from the microprofile? Edited February 18, 20233 yr by UKflyer
February 18, 20233 yr Although I really like SimHeaven I have opted for default XP scenery only. Scenery (default) in the areas I fly from is more than enough for my needs. I am much more concerned with flight dynamics, overall feel of flight and weather. - weather: very good now, as per the tests I did since yesterday. Only experienced inconsistency at a single airfield between METAR and data in XP12 and only the QNH was way off, although I am aware of people complaining about visibility. Aloft turbulence is very plausible now, actually all turbulence I experienced was very plausible; - flight dynamics: way the best among XP and MFS... XP12 wins hands down in overall flight dynamics and feel of flight, all aircraft types. Absolutley totally agree....that is exactly what I want out of a flight simulator...well said!👍 Regards Paul EGCC

But it only affects AMD GPUs. - Edit: Note that this is still extremely experimental and certainly not for laymen. Official bug repots rearding Zink will also not be accepted yet. So if anybody runs into issues, it's best to disable the feature and wait until Laminar gives the official go-ahead. You'll know when there is a dev blog post on Zink. February 19, 20233 yr With the new AMD 23.2.1 drivers on my 6700XT, things seem to be better, no more graphical corruption and the FPS on the demo is fairly decent. Quite surprising what a toll the higher MSAA levels take on performance though ...
February 19, 20233 yr I did a flight in 12.04 in the Toliss A319 and was very impressed by the improvement to the weather. Multiple layers of varied cloud types. METAR at departure and destination were spot on, as were winds aloft, with no sudden speed or direction shifts. If the discrepancy in fps between payware scenery and default scenery is too high, then odds are it’s the scenery chewing up the frame rates. 2 hours ago, fluffyflops said: night lighting is still horrific for proformance You have any details? I’m getting excellent performance.
February 23, 20233 yr Commercial Member Then it’s on developers to make their scenery more fps friendly. It can’t be the sim, if the sim gives good fps and then fps tank when payware scenery gets added.

If at my airline everytime we messed up with a customer and we blamed everyone else but us we would beeen out of business long ago. I give up with this half baked junk, ill come back to it in a couple of years when they fixed all the issues with it. Edited February 23, 20233 yr by fluffyflops

It has nothing to do with thinking anyone is a messiah, and I wish some of you people would quit using that garbage as some kind of a cop-out for being wrong. It's basic facts. Good fps with default scenery...add payware, result is bad fps…what do you think is to blame. I’m telling you how it works. Believe it, or don’t. I don’t care. Edited February 23, 20233 yr by GoranM
