I've been using it for long haul flights for my VA and I'm quite impressed by it. It imports Simbrief flight plans and while not at the so called "study level" it's complex enough to keep my old brain satisfied. Of course the best thing about it is that it is completely free.🙂 Here I am flying over India. Edited March 14, 20233 yr by Spike54 Eagles may soar, but alley cats don't get sucked into jet engines.
March 14, 20233 yr I’ve been reacquainting myself with the Level D 767 in FSX and it is still a superb plane. If only they could reform the team and do it again for MSFS. Currently attempting a round the world tour with it following the famous BOAC BA712, at the moment on approach to Rome. We also desperately need quality (or affordable) 707’s, DC10’s, MD11’s, Tristars, VC10’s, 747-200’s and all the other classic long haul aircraft of the 70’s and 80’s. March 14, 20233 yr Of course the most readily available high-fidelity long (ish) hauler for MSFS would be the iniBuilds A310 that comes by default in all editions of the sim, very well and deeply simulated. Manual here: https://flightsimulator.azureedge.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/A310_MSFS_Manual.pdf (all default aircraft manuals FYI at https://www.flightsimulator.com/aircraft-manuals/ ) Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD

June 2, 20233 yr I wish instead of this one is completely study level, but this one isn't at all study level, there were some sort of rating system. i.e. the top models get an A+ or 98% rating, or something similar. A low to medium level plane like the JustFlight 757 Freemium might still get a C- or 68% study level rating. Not an all or nothing type thing. Obviously such a rating system would be only opinions, only a very rough indicator. I've only tried the PMDG BBJ and the default A310 for longhauls in MSFS. I'd give the BBJ 85% and the 310 75% study level scores. Just a totally wild guess though.
June 2, 20233 yr Biggest barrier for me is the sim object bug - unless I depart from a medium-small airport, the sim breaks and my arrival airport doesn't load in. I've reduced all the extra clutter as far as I can but still have the issue, so until this is fixed it doesn't make much sense for me to fly long haul. Though I'm really looking forward to the PMDG 777 and AAU update if/when it gets sorted.
