30EUR for longer range and more powerful engines, is a hard ask. I guess leonnardo doesn't have intentions on adjusting their pricing to the wider audience that MSFS brings. Like @Muds suggested it would've been nice to have the pre-EFIS 82s.

Until they improve the sounds and the textures (without Mods) I don't see no point of getting this package. I am fine with the MD-82 these planes don't fly no more  in the RW to justify the sim cost.

I have it working now with my beta version of the 80s. This is what you will have to do until FTSim is updated.

Go into the PDF and find the manual update of the layout.json file.

{
"path": "SimObjects/Airplanes/MaddogX/sound/MD80_Sp.PC.pck",
"size": 140886287,
"date": 133027422380000000
},

You will have to add two more of these. The two extras will have the directory to match each aircraft. So a entry for /MaddogX83/ and /MaddogX88/. Once done, you will have three entries all together. /MaddogX/, /MaddogX83/ and MaddogX88.

what am I doing wrong?  This is what I pasted into mine.

Make sure to copy the MD80_Sp.PC.pck and the sound file from the /MaddogX/sound folder into the /MaddogX83/sound and /MaddogX88/sound folder. Sorry I forgot to mention that. Accomplish this after installing the sound pack.

Then you probably don't want to know how much the Toliss A320neo (longer range, more powerful engines) for XPL12 costs...

The Leonardo MD80 series is grossly overpriced.

No problems on Windows 10.

I do, and they’re just as bad. None of these practices are great for the consumer. I can equally dislike both toliss and leonardo for their pricing habits despite their exceptional systems modelling.

Just completed a new install of Windows 11 professional with the latest virus definitions. I downloaded and installed with no alerts. Interested in what you find out. Also scanned the files on two Win 10 systems with no alerts. That is strange that some are getting a hit.

There talking about it on the FlytheMaddogX - Pilots Facebook page. Looks like it might be a Simmarket issue. The developer sent the user a the Fly_The_Maddog_X_MSFS2020_edition_1.2b152.exe directly and it didn't alert on them. I know SimMarket offers 4 servers when users download. I wonder if it's one of their servers.
