Rather steep entry into the video claiming that default and other ATC sounds extremely robotic and the first seconds of the "BeyondATC" speech sounds exactly as robotic as the "bad examples" given before... just speeding up the speech does not make it less robotic...

Greetings, Chris

Thanks for the heads up! I joined their Discord. Doesn't look like it will replace FSHud anytime soon (also because there isn't any information about the features I am interested in) but it's always interesting to see something new appear. I'll keep an eye on this one.

Looks great! Always good to have a lot of competion in Atc software!

It's said to handle VFR which FSHud, as far as I recall, doesn't (yet?).

Kind regards, Michael

Not sure I understand the question...? Are you asking if FSHud handles VFR? (Which it doesn't.)

No question. I understand FSHud doesn't handle VFR but Beyond ATC is claimed to do it.

Kind regards, Michael

Looks like quite an ambitious project.

Good to see another player enter the scene for ATC.

Sounds *a lot better* than the default ATC voices (and arguably any other ATC program to-date).
If it works as advertised, it could be very useful for anyone using the in-built AI traffic engine.

The only unrealistic thing for me was the 'Contextual Responses' segment. ATC responses like that are only given in Boston or New York!

Ah, haha, sorry, I clearly misread your post. 😉 But yes, if B-ATC can handle VFR that would be a plus! I like FSHud a lot but it certainly isn't perfect yet.

Agreed. That part felt unrealistic and (extremely) 'gamey'. I do hope it's optional. I do have to say the entire video felt a bit 'gamey'...

It's supposed to work with FSLTL and FS Traffic.

doesn't motion if the atc controls the ai traffic just says just detect and talk but is external from the sim like fshud or just use the terrible ia from the sim ?

It's just advertising. I liked the bits of humour to generate some interest and to differentiate from the competition, YMMV.
Good news is, there are alternatives if this one doesn't meet expectations.

Sorry, I mis-wrote.
I meant in the context of being limited to what MSFS can support, as opposed to a completely external live data feed like RealTraffic/PSXT.

True. But it's a bit overdone imho, focusing a bit too much on how bad default ATC is. Makes me wonder how serious they are. Mixed feelings. YMMV indeed. 😉 I do notice in the video that they apparently know about transition altitudes (so not 18.000 ft all over the world) so that's a plus already. I also already asked them about QNH.

Ah, okay, got it. Well, it seems to me it's the first, not the latter. And what also seems to be rather disappointing is that it doesn't seem to actually control the traffic (like FSHud (and ONLY FSHud) can currently do. Would be a shame if a new ATC addon still limits itself to what all old ATC addons have been doing (and which most people seems to take for granted, oddly enough). But I asked about this on their Discord so... let's see. I also asked if B-ATC is voice controlled only or not (quite important for me because I don't do voice control).
