My experience is that no traffic injector works well because of the myriad of AI Traffic bugs that exist in the sim

Tangentially relevant, but I think 🤔 Kaii over at AIG is working on some ai traffic improvements as well...

Not innovative, VoxATC was doing it ages beforehand... You may prefer FSHud, that's fine, but vox did get there first 😛

i m talking about msfs, VoxATC doesn't work in msfs  and the sdk is different so the system VoxATC use doesn't going to work in msfs cause doesn't have ai traffic Api

the dev said on discord that doesn't control the ia traffic just use the FSLT addon with default ai traffic  so this is just another 3 party addon that doesn't bring anything new to the table  fshud at least is doing something innovation with the features

Shame. So this will just be a non-starter.

But FS Hud doesn't actually do a good job controlling the traffic does it? It's using the same broken API as all other traffic injectors use so you still get planes that teleport around, spin in place, and all other sorts of wacky behavior. Based on the other response it would appear this is an Asobo issue and no 3rd party tool can truly control the traffic even if they claim to. Have you had a different experience with FS Hud?

No.

Yes.

Yes.

Can you elaborate?

FSHud controls AI traffic on its own, it doesn't use the dysfunctional MSFS logic. So you don't see any of the quirks of MSFS AI movements  you mentioned.

It has its own small issues left - it's still in Beta  - but it is lightyears ahead of MSFS default AI traffic.

Good to know. Thanks.

I don't understand why every topic about an ATC addon ends up in a discussion of the "roboticness" of the voices.

Because we are in 2023🙂!

What would you say if you were buying an aircraft add-on with computer generated sounds instead of proper recordings correctly assembled and mixed? You may not mind those "computerised" voices and this is fine, many others won't and will buy this add-on because they find what they want in it.

It remains that for some others, including myself, this is yesterday technology unfit for MSFS.

I think you may soon need to retract that statement 😛

Kevin,

Are you beta testing a new version of VOX? I'm sure you're under a NDA so just blink your eyes to confirm.😁

You might think that, I couldn't possibly comment.. ok I'm told I can, so yes there's a beta being tested, it's pretty good, still ironing a few bugs out and getting it to work seamlessly with AIG traffic throughout the world.😏

correct, always working on new stuff^^ and some of this new stuff will see the light soon xD

It is interesting that this new ATC Addon is refering to FSLTL and FST, wonder why it should not work with AIG.... - but we will see.

For now there are only 2 SDK-Ways for AI:

1. Inject via SimConnect and let the AI fully control it -> Ingame ATC will work, but you have basically not much control over the AI after injection (still trying to find more ways to change this)

2. Inject via SimConnect and control all waypoints yourself -> Ingame ATC will not work but you have full controll over the AI.

Yep. Next question would be PSXTraffic/RT (which I use with the AIG models). I very much doubt it,... - but we will see, too.

Kind regards, Michael

if it is "only reacting" the injected AI it should work with everything added to the Sim.....
