June 19, 20232 yr I quite like the refreshingly funny approach. Might be an interesting option. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
June 19, 20232 yr Their voices ARE robotic indeed whereas Azure's are not. Interestingly, they choose to use the non-Azure's voices for the comparison which is unfair. I heard a Spanish accent too in this short presentation, that's a good start for an international mix of voices, but they should not advertise that way, it's terribly misleading and inaccurate. I agree that the the "contextual" reply is overdone to the extreme, humour or not. Perhaps a note on being (or not) compatible with AIG would help. I can understand someone saying the voices sound artificial or computerized but to me they don't sound robotic at ALL. 'Robotic' is what you can hear in PF3 video's with the demo voices: sentences existing of stitched together recordings of various vocals and uttered without any kind of emotion but with odd pauses and odd emphasis. The voices in B-ATC may not sound utterly convincing but they sound quite good toe me! (The same discussion also always comes up with FSHud which some people find very robitic while I think the voices sound very good.) I do have a slight problem with the voices sounding a bit too excited and over the top though... which also makes it feel a bit gamey. I do hope they will go for realism and don't add too much humor... I don't think I could stand that. Edited June 19, 20232 yr by tup61
June 19, 20232 yr I much, much prefer computer-generated voices that speak sentences with even and consistent diction, instead of stitched-together voice clips with very noticeably uneven emphasis and pitch.
June 19, 20232 yr I don't understand why every topic about an ATC addon ends up in a discussion of the "roboticness" of the voices. There are so many other aspects of ATC addons that are much more fundamental.
June 19, 20232 yr What was spoken is far more realistic than default that's for sure. Although don't they use the term "radar identified" in Europe for radar contact in the US? At least when I talk to Canada on the lines they say "identified." | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Most of the voices today in PF3 are less robotic than any other ATC program that I have heard. And there are over 100 voices.
June 19, 20232 yr I bought FSHud on the recomendations from here and a few select Youtuubers..😊 It is quite nice, and I like it! (Perhaps the ATC/traffic handling is a bit buggy still, but I am using the Beta-release full well knowing that..) It's a bit robotic still, but I think it is better than what we have default in MSFS2020 so far, But we hopefully get better ATC/system in MSFS-2024 with more regional voices with accents, we certainly are due for some *exiting changes* there since FSX-ATC... from 2006 (+ *not so* Kindergarten happy...ATC) as it is now in MS2020..,With regards ATC, here FSX sounded a bit more professional compared to MSFS2020 version of ATC) 😋 Edited June 19, 20232 yr by Rune-ENHD

And thanks for mentioning the 'over 100 voices' of PF3: I knew I could count on you. 😉
June 19, 20232 yr The funny thing is: There are actually quite a few ATC-addons available. The problem is: all of them are awful in one way or the the other (UI, voices, clunky handling, etc.). Some are less awful than others. PRO ATC SR is just plain bad all around. The voices in the video above are no improvement. For now, I'm sticking with default ATC + FS ATC chatter from Stick and Rudder + charts. Gets the job done and gets me to where I'm going. The title of the video is the usual clickbait. I can deal with the in-game ATC until we see what is improved in 2024.
