While it's your prerogative to think that, I believe you are missing a key point.
The lengthy development of Fenix's A320 v2 does not correlate in a linear fashion to other follow-up versions of the other A32x variants. Once this new external engine modelling, flight model, visual model, etc. is complete, other A32x family aircraft can be made far quicker than we've seen so far, as the groundwork would have already been achieved.
(Plus, the situation in Ukraine may be slowly improving? But that's a political discussion).

Thats a possibility, I hope you're right!  Even so I think developing a brand new airplane is still years away since they are a small team and have stated their plan is  v2/IAE->cfm external model->a320 SL-> then future aircraft.   Either way is a ways off on their roadmap.

I do agree with that, but what we dont have is a good a321, a321NEO, a321 SL, a319 or a319 SL from fenix.  Nor has fenix announced any development plans for those aircraft.  With the amount of time it has taken them to still not have v2, the a320SL, or the IAE variant ready I expect many many years before we see a new fenix aircraft.  I think it would be a wise choice for FSL to bring those variants into msfs first.  But I would also be equally happy if they brought in an a330 first and it would probably sell better than the 321 or 319.  I just think it would be more work on their end to release the a330 first since they already have a fully complete  a320 series of aircraft in p3d.

What @F737MAX said. Fenix is laying the groundwork for the A319 and A321 with the V2 update. They will be reusing a lot of code for the A319 and A321, so it's better to get the groundwork right before they focus on the A319 and A321.

For sure, but they have not announced either the a319 or a321.  While they would make a logical choice for future aircraft they have never even hinted that either the 321 or 319 are in their future plans, and if they decided to do those variants they would be a ways off considering their current roadmap.  The a321 especially is a very different airplane under the hood too.

Fenix will definitely do the sharklets before any other variant, and this is going to take at least another 6 months. They'll release the IAE towards the end of 2023 and then will need to port over the CFM to the custom engine model, then with post-release updates and as said the sharklets it will take them at least until the end of 2024 before they can focus completely on the A321 and A319. Those will likely need a year each in development... oh and I've completely ignored MSFS 2024 so far, which could take a couple of months of adaption work for using the new features... so tldr: I'm quite sure there won't be a complete A320-family from Fenix before 2026.

Now that said FSL will surely not be able to easily import their A320 family into MSFS, at least not earlier than Fenix and certainly not with the usual development speed of FSL. So my guess is they'll exclusively focus on the Concorde and A330, the Concorde will arrive in 2024 and the A330 in 2026.

Well testers have been flying an A321 from FSLabs on the MSFS platform so lets wait and see.

Speculation or do you have some reference you can share?

Oh, didn't know about this 🙂 Actually confirmed by those testers?

Was shown on Volanta by a couple of testers Andy being one of them. Pretty sure someone said something on discord  but can't remember where.

They wouldn't be flying the LatinVFR A321 and I'm not aware of any other companies that have released one.

I’ve seen the FSL A321 NEO landing during someone’s Twitch stream in MSFS.

Question: are the A32X that different that it requires a ton of extra dev time?  For example: is it just a difference between a 737 700 with winglets versus a 737 with scimitar winglets of a 800? Just trying to see the difference between types in the same family.

Question: Are you using the notoriously long FSL timelines to come to those expected release dates or do you have other info to base them on?

Sure it wasn't just some FSLabs testers flying the LVFR A321 to kick back and have fun? 😝

How do you know it was FSL's A321 NEO? That's the first thing I hear about that.

As for your question, if you want to make it high-fidelity, yes, then it takes time. Keep in mind Fenix have not yet made any A321 before while PMDG made their variants for decades, and it still took them almost half a year between the -700 and -800 for MSFS.

I doubt they would be using that.

Just maths, combined with how much focused Fenix are on high-fidelity. Those things take time. If it was FSL, I'd easily double that estimate...

The streamer knew the tester personally. The streamer also wasn’t sure if the model matching was correct. (As someone who is not familiar with A321s IRL, I couldn’t tell either)

thank you for the answer!

If it was a NEO you bet it was the LatinVFR version. Do you honestly believe FSL would secretly develop an A321NEO for MSFS up until the late beta phase (that's when you start flying on Vatsim...) without a single preview or any bit of information? It wouldn't even be a port, since they only did the 321CEO before... come one, it took FSL one and a half year to put sharklets on their A320s... no, just no.
