June 28, 20232 yr Not that I fly 'em often, but I have the Hughes (of course) and the Latécoère, and a Honeycomb Bravo. But neither MSFS nor Spad.next give me the option to control any more than 4 engines. Anyone find a way to control 6 engines with discrete axes? June 28, 20232 yr I can only speak from the 747 perspective. I have dual Saitek TQs so even though I have enough axis for a four engine turbofan (don’t need axis for mixture or rpm), I don’t find that necessary for sim purposes at all. I just use a simple left and right side power. So in the 747, engine 1 and 2 are left throttle and engine 3 and 4 are right throttle. But that’s just me. For the six engine flying boat (I don’t own it), i would likely use the same technique.
June 28, 20232 yr I thought they were supposed to add the extras to MSFS itself. Only then will be be able to assign 5, 6, etc. Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/
June 28, 20232 yr I have to resort to doing a binding in MSFS rather than FSUIPC where one axis controls all four engines. I tried a few times to use FSUIPC to bind the left axis to engines 1&2 and the right axis to 3&4 without success on the bae-146. June 28, 20232 yr I'm a simpleton with a single throttle axis, so every multi-engine plane I fly is bound to one throttle. If I need to manage a single engine I just use the mouse.
June 29, 20232 yr Author So, to be clear, the problem is that I cannot choose engines 5 and 6 to assign them to anything at all. Any assignments can only go to the first four engines, whether I assign them all to a single axis or multiple axes. There's no 5 or 6 option in the settings for either MSFS or Spad. I added above that the MSFS team was supposed to add those extra axes inside of MSFS. Until that's done, there's no axis to bind for those engines. Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/

Kinda surprising, seeing as there's been a >4 engine plane out for months now. Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light

I am also careful with that statement because what appears to be simple sometimes can be very complex🤣. Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/
