July 8, 20232 yr Good day all, I've been out of the loop of the sims for some months, I had the possibility to assemble a new rig with an 7950x3D, 64gb 6400mhz...I have kept only my 3080ti. I was wondering what performance can I expect from MSFS with FSTL, Fenix and good sceneries at 1440p? More than 40/60 fps? Because at the moment I am quite disappointed and I quite sure that I may have something set wrong. Thanks all Francesco Francesco Embraer 195 Type rated My Specs: MOBO: ROG Z390 Maximus Hero IX CPU: Intel i7-9700K @ 5.0 Ghz GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 3080Ti RAM: GSkill Trident 32Gb Gb DDR4 3200 Mhz MSFS, DCS World.
July 8, 20232 yr AI-traffic, Fenix and big hubs / PG cities? I think you'd be lucky to have 60 FPS, no matter the system. Correct me if I'm wrong. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Despite the focus you read here 99% of the time there's more to it than "FPS" for two significant reasons: One can still experience stutters despite high FPS One can experience ultra-smooth, stutter-free animation at modest frame rates. I have the same screen resolution & GPU as you do, I run all sliders at Ultra except Terrain LOD which demands more CPU than I have, and I use PMDG 738, FBW 320NX and AS CRJ700 and I use FSLTL, but need to drop traffic density well down, which impacts the CPU main thread primarily, so you won't have this issue like I do. And I have ultra-smooth animation with a frame rate typically locked at 35. So's you understand I can appreciate a frame rate of 60, I can run at 60 in very modest scenarios in lighter aircraft no problem--and the difference is truly imperceptible. Why? Because my criteria is not "FPS", it's frame time variance. With rapid panning and close objects nearby, one will notice the difference between 35 and 60FPS, but for starters in the course of any flight this does not qualify as a significant part of block time experience. Until you've witnessed this you may find it hard to accept: Edited July 8, 20232 yr by Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. With ai traffic(fsltl), tlod 200, nearly all settings ultra, fenix and big hubs(like egll), lots of clouds at 4k, I’m getting 30-40 fps without frame generation and nearly always cpu limited… With frame generation I’m getting about 60 fps at the same scenarios.
