September 5, 20232 yr The silence is deafening, and the "Community Managers" only allow one way communication it seems, or you get a telling-off! With all the effort the users (customers) are putting in, just a simple 'that's interesting!" statement or an acknowledgement that we and the improvement exists would be nice. Is it really too much to ask when they are always pushing the engagement angle with MSFS? Even the Community Managers seem to have a tenuous link to the developers by their own admission, which is a shame, as it is a great temperature gauge when utilised correctly. The only people who are of any use on the official forum lately are the other users who get together to solve bugs or at least confirm them to other users and find a work around. I have been helped immensely by other users over there (and on Avsim of course), but officials on the forum, never. It seems they are just forum moderators really. No. My post was just about the sky colours. Their silence on some other issues such as the tile swapping bug for instance annoys me as well. September 5, 20232 yr My prediction is Asobo will absolutely address this for 2024 because for starters--it's tweaking a few variables is pretty much about it. It is critical for MS/A to make a big splash for 2024 and this is clearly low hanging fruit, unlike for example upgrading ATC or cloud depiction. Jane has actually said quite the opposite and she's also the one who compiles questions for the dev livestreams. Possibly Krakin! Although the end result (feedback in the official forum) is still the same. Jayne tries her best and has actually tried to put some awkward questions to the team at times (on the Twitch sessions etc.), although in a similar fashion, the answers from the Asobo team can sometimes be sparse, or confusing. I think she has to watch what she says, as we know how it goes - "'I have highlighted it to the developers" can taken to be 'they are working on it', and "when is it happening?" after a few days Either way, my point of criticism is simply that the feedback could be better or quicker at times relating to issues such as in this thread. When 'nagging' or pressure from users/customers has been applied, it has worked occasionally. For instance with DLSS, which Asobo said would show no performance benefit compared to TAA originally - which none of us understood, but then adopted it "under pressure from the crowd". Next thing they are pushing DLSS3 with frame generation with Nvidia. So I wonder if the language barrier is a problem some times, as many things have been misunderstood during improvement attempts, such as the original changes to the night lighting a few years ago. Better / quicker feedback could help avoid these situations. i.e. "I just need to verify what you are saying to be sure I understand you". The Community Managers (such as Jayne) could play a more active role in this, as they don't seem very present sometimes, so it makes me wonder if they have a lot of roles within the business, not just this one. Imagine if someone like yourself was involved in this position and what you would do as an avid enthusiast. I think meaningful two-way communication would be a lot different. I don’t think it is particularly reasonable to expect feedback from Asobo on this right at the moment. Very likely all hands are involved in troubleshooting the very serious bug that has arisen in SU13 beta causing extremely long load times and crashes relating to some (but not all) Marketplace content. Expecting definitive feedback on this (potentially) new and improved graphics modification at this time would kind of be like pestering a firefighter for tickets to the firemen’s carnival while they are right in the middle of fighting a fully-involved structure fire. I don't see why this would need to be kept for the 2024 release. It is just something that can be overlooked. Notice, XP12 was in the same situation until Biology reached out to them. I think MS/A needs to be careful to insure enough new/better is in 2024 to make it truly compelling to purchase--that is why they will keep this and many other areas the same in 2020. Their focus is 2024 now, period. All comments that they will/might address this in 2020 should be taken w/ a grain of salt. Certainly no one here knows what they will do, which is why I won't satisfy Ian's obsession w/ cynicism and steal his money 🤣 Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. OK Jim, yes, I see that on the official beta forums and understand what you are talking about - it's concerning! It won't help anybody, but I am not seeing any of these problems myself. I thought folks said here they had like a zillion different departments that all do their own thing, so people in department X won’t be touching stuff in department A etc…
