Clear blue skies and obviously a lovely day where he is and yet he's got a waterproof hooded jacket on zipped up to the neck!.

I thought the same, why is he's reporting a heat wave and advising to wear light clothes when he's wearing a dark & hooded jacket?  I had to look up who he is:

I remember kinder, gentler times when British weather forecasts were more like this:

The names iin the shipping forecast are maritime areas around the UK as shown on this map:

That is awesome. Did they do that regularly?

Yes, every day around lunch time I think, but not singing. They still do it but I've been away for the last 65 years so I don't know much about it now. Here is a recording of how it used to be. Recent recordings can be seen on Youtube:

Reminds me of the Weather Channel grandstanding clowns who got caught on video during a hurricane pretending like the winds were so strong they had trouble standing, and then a group of people walked by them with no trouble at all.

It's all a big farce, man.

Oh man, I'm going to try and find that video on Youtube. What a hoot!

Ha, ha!

On a similar note, I believe that it was some UK weather reporters, or maybe another European country, who got caught displaying heat maps with "angry" red areas where the temps were highest.  The kicker is that the same and even higher temps had been reported in past years with only yellow coloring and less drama.  I think this can also be found on youtube.

Weather reporters also frequently display the heat *indexes*, or "real feel" temps, which are higher than the actual temperature.

These bozos are really trying hard to fool everybody, but luckily there are enough good folks out there who catch this stuff and publicize it.

I no longer trust any weather agencies when it comes to temperatures.

He is Frankie MacDonald from Sydney Nova Scotia, I don't make fun of him he has his thing and people find it entertaining, and it makes him money.

If anyone has ever been to Sydney you would probably get it, Sydney is a beautiful eclectic place where everyone remembers your name, one of my favourite places in this world
