Update appears to be processing

Recommended Posts

The main update and all the updates in content manager were completed successfully apart from the World Update - Eastern Europe, now the sim keeps CTD. I guess I'll be winterizing my trailer this afternoon lol 😧

Servers will be getting hammered I think.

I suspect what is being described is a server issue. I did get the blanking screen -- for like 5 seconds or so -- but the downloads all completed.

That could be the issue most likely. I have shut down the sim and am going to have lunch. I will give it a go later on 😉

What a s**t show! I don't care how many people try to download and install, the expectation from a high profile IT company like Microsoft is that they have this stuff planned and buttoned up logistically prior to the release. Completely unacceptable imo.

Well the initial MS Store failed and deleted my entire installation plus the OneStore directory with 325 GB of files - not impressed at all. No error codes or warnings.

I just updated and also updated my content.  You just have to be patient.   A lot of people are doing the same thing.   It is slow but it is happening!

My update went through fine. Completed all of the updates in the content manager without any issue as well.

you just one of the (lucky) few. It could be possible to update using the torrent? in this way their failing servers won't be hammered.

**** Update ****

I decided to clear my DX Shader Cache and run the following:

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /checkhealth

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /scanhealth

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth

sfc /scannow

Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore

Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

Two issues were found and fixed with the last 2 commands. I rebooted then fired up the sim. The Eastern European update downloaded and installed and I am now back in the Sim without a CTD (Fingers Crossed) Maybe as others have said the servers are being hammered.

The Sim Update ran OK but the world updates won't run at all so I'm putting that aside for now.

Attempting a flight, it just notified me that my bandwidth is too low and is taking me offline.  I just ran a speed test - I'm a little lower than normal (just under 300 Mbps) but that's plenty so their statement is BS.  I've turned the online ops back on and we'll see what happens.

Oh wait, MS issued a bulletin: "Please pause content updates because we want to give Fielder priority!"

Anyone else stuck on G58 Update/Decompression?

Gets to end then just sits there.

T45

A lot of people are stuck decompressing packages, so yes we may not be precisely stuck in the same spot, but all over the place with decompression. I completely don't get how the decompression process is server dependent.
