Decompressing. I'm in 17/66 stage, just curious what would happen if I cancel. Have been reading a bunch of horror stories of need for full reinstall.

The install server will simply restart your SU13 install progress bar before the title screen again, where you'll most likely get stuck from making it back into the sim🤣

Servers appear to be overloaded. MSFS is a victim of its own popularity.

Processor: Intel i9-13900KF 5.8GHz 24-Core, Graphics Processor: Nvidia RTX 4090 24GB GDDR6, System Memory: 64GB High Performance DDR5 SDRAM 5600MHz, Operating System: Windows 11 Home Edition, Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX, LGA 1700, CPU Cooling: Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling, RGB and LCD Display, Chassis Fans: Corsair Low Decibel, Addressable RGB Fans, Power Supply: Corsair HX1000i Fully Modular Ultra-Low-Noise Platinum ATX 1000 Watt, Primary Storage: 2TB Samsung Gen 4 NVMe SSD, Secondary Storage: 1TB Samsung Gen 4 NVMe SSD, VR Headset: Meta Quest 2, Primary Display: SONY 4K Bravia 75-inch, 2nd Display: SONY 4K Bravia 43-inch, 3rd Display: Vizio 28-inch, 1920x1080. Controller: Xbox Controller attached to PC via USB.

So, I tried to buy EGNS Isle of Man. The MS servers blocked and the purchase in progress notice came up and stalled long time. I had to log out of my MSFS account and then log back in to reset the marketplace.

So I would not try to buy anything in the marketplace right now. And the sales end tomorrow. I was going to buy more.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

As I said earlier, shutting down MSFS and restarting the update simply resumes where it left off, but advances the process a bit -- getting closer to completion of the full update -- until it gets stuck decompressing a new file. That's been my experience based on  a half-dozen restarts. At this point I have just 216 Mb (less than 1%) of the update remaining to be decompressed, but it could take hours or days at this rate. Reminds me of a mathematical curve that approaches zero asymptotically, which by definition never ends because it takes infinite time to get there! Sorry if this is discouraging news ... But things should look better in the morning.

Ok, so you're saying that simply hitting "Pause" and exiting the sim won't do any damage to my MSFS installation. In this case, I'd wait for another hour, click on "Pause" and go back to sleep.

No, I don't hit Pause at all -- I just shut down MSFS and restart. It then reaches the screen for installing the new update, and off we go again.

Decompressing for over an hour.  Quit and try again??

Eventually it all decompressed and loaded fine.  Just wait.

I'm updating each package in the content manager one at a time by just selecting one at a time and hitting download and waiting for that download to complete before moving on to the next one. That's going a lot smother for me than the sim just automatically selecting all of them and showing pending. It just kept getting stuck or saying download failed with that.

Intel Core i9-10900K at 5.2GHz, Corsair H115i PRO, ASUS MAXIMUS XII HERO Z490, G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 15-16-16-36, ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090, SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB x 3, Corsair HX Series HX1000 Watt PSU, Pimax Crystal LIght.

Just hit "Pause" and then exited the sim. Relaunched MSFS and it indeed started where I left ...with this being said, I'm leaving the sim until server situation improves.

It seem that world update updates are the culprit! Install those seems to be failing

Just one more content to sort and that is now stuck at the very end. World update New Zealand
