Try the following - Quit Flightsim (May need to force quit) Go to (installation folder)Official\OneStore and scroll to the bottom of the window, there are lots of folders in there but you will see the *.fspackage files that are ‘stuck decompressing’ there. Delete those. Run MSFS, it will re-download the package(s) again and should decompress all way through… Perhaps until the next package that might get stuck… Then repeat the steps again Just bumping up this solution for people who haven't seen it. Worked for me. I had to stop the sim from running with Task Manager between each. September 29, 20232 yr Worth a try alright when you've been at it for hours as some folks were. I caved in and just left the thing running overnight, which worked out. But now I see posts about all the stuff that had updates in Content Manager and I only had four small ones. May have to do some digging. September 29, 20232 yr I decided to take the dive after holding off yesterday. I am about 90% downloaded in approximately 15 minutes so far. No hiccups...fingers crossed 🙃 Maybe 40 minutes and no problems on first attempt. I'm all up to date. Hope others can get theirs up and running too. Run MSFS, it will re-download the package(s) again and should decompress all way through… Perhaps until the next package that might get stuck… Then repeat the steps again This worked a few moments a go. I can confirm that this works like a charm. Got it all done last night during the worst of it in about 1/2 hour

September 29, 20232 yr With this and the Rex clusterparp I think I'll be giving the Sim a wide berth for a little while longer, rather miss out than have to deal with this potential hell which takes away time from actual flying. September 29, 20232 yr What a difference a day makes. I already had the main update (because was in the beta). But in content manager (DC-3) 400 MB took 11 hours yesterday. Today a new update in content manager (BAE 146) 200 MB took 10 seconds. It's hard for me to believe the servers could have been that much overloaded yesterday, but maybe they were? 11 hours vs. 10 seconds, wow. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. OK against my better judgment I went ahead with the SU13 Update & Content Updates, no issues whatsoever, pretty quick download and no dramas so one of the lucky ones. September 30, 20232 yr Due to all the issues that were posted here, regarding the SU13, I waited until this morning to pull the trigger. Premium/Deluxe (or whatever the top tier is labeled) purchased from the MS Store: 27 mins to download and install. That includes all the items in my Content Manager that needed to be installed and/or updated. Rebooted the computer and took a quick flight in the Carenado C82R and everything worked fine and looked beautiful! September 30, 20232 yr Rather stupidly opted out of the SU13 beta and got the dreaded reinstall message (130GB update!). I let it run for 2hrs where it only installed 30% before I realised that it was installing to the default location and not my usual drive location, hence the claimed need for a reinstall. So I've started again with the installer pointing to the correct location, 25GB update now required which is downloading at 2Mb/s on a 900Mbps connection... I certainly don't think that I'll be flying this weekend at this rate. Edited September 30, 20232 yr by G MIDY Lawrence Ashworth

This gets the job done in a single step. For me, this worked like a charm, and fast. Edited September 30, 20232 yr by cobalt
