Never had any LNAV problems since 2021 and VNAV is working great for about a year now I think. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

The best approach with it is, if you don't like it now, check back in 6 months, but don't sign it off forever because what you experienced 6 months ago, isn't what it is now. As for the A380, it will also be releasing in an alpha state but it will have a much much larger feature set than when FBW came about.
