December 23, 20232 yr Can someone enlighten me regarding the points below? How do I change the lighting so that the horizon does not appear so red at dawn and dusk? Which setting am I looking for to change the LOD Radius? How do I get rid of those weird lime green textures loading in on the Isle of Man? That's down to Asobo/MS to address, one of the LODs for the ground imagery contains a mix of the bright green and purple over the Isle of Man. I think above 2000 feet it is a non issue... https://www.uk2000scenery.net/forum/index.php?topic=166.0 Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. Moza, MFG, Fulcrum & Virpil controllers. That would be 'Object' distance slider but it still may not go as far as you'd like. I keep it at 180. As for colors, I use Nvidia Freestyle filters to tone the warm tones down in the sim and it also helps with the washed out colors a bit. I wouldn't waste your time, I reported a visual bug to them once and they suggested I reinstall windows 🤦♂️ never bothered since. Like the bug voting system, it's pointless. December 23, 20232 yr Author I guess that I will just have to make do with flying over the Isle of Man until this has been sorted out. There is no way that I can use the airport when the ground textures are such a mess. It's been that way since the UK & Ireland World Update was released in February 2021, you could try uninstalling that update and seeing if that helps. Edit: of course the Tile Loading bug is general so it probably won't help. While you wait for an Asobo fix you may like to try the Map Enhancement Tool (Flightsim.to) I just flew a few circuits around EGNS using the Map Enhancement Tool first using Google Maps and then with Bing Maps (Latest). Google maps improved things only a little but with Bing Maps (Latest) selected the textures and colours looked pretty decent and I saw no issues with tile loading. December 25, 20232 yr Author I have just experienced my first encounter with the infamous "horizon line" bug. I noticed it in front of the mountains when I was on final approach to runway 09 at KTEX Telluride Regional. Is this bug prevalent under all conditions, and at all times of the day? I did not notice it at all of the other airports that I have arrived at so far, and that includes KFLG Flagstaff Pulliam (which is also in the mountains at relatively high altitude).
