Maybe an ‘ancient wonders of the world pack’ with things like the colossus of Rhodes but set in the modern day harbour. Obviously there might be issues putting these things in modern day settings but I’d think it would be interesting to check out what they’d look like. I’m sure there’s all kinds of other famous past monument or castles etc that could be added and the great thing is, as most were never accurately pictured, nobody can complain that they aren’t study level. Maybe call it ancient monuments?

It's an interesting idea to improve the way the current Wall appears Well, for me, it's the former rather than the latter. The MSFS default looks more like an old muddy railway track and even extensive excavations such as Housesteads are not visible. To have it modelled as it looks in real life today would be the bees knees 🙂 Ryzen 7 9800x3D @5.2GHz; ASUS X670-P Motherboard; nVidia 4080 (factory o/c); 32G 5600MHz DDR5 SDRAM; Pimax Crystal Light VR Headset; Quest 3 VR Headset
January 27, 20251 yr Hi all After a longer than expected development process, Hadrian's Wall 180 has now been launched for MSFS 2020 and is available from Time Machine Designs and simMarket. A release into the MSFS2020 Marketplace is also upcoming. Drawing on expert advice, excavation reports, academic literature, physical and artistic reconstructions we have rebuilt the entire Wall system as it is believed to have looked at its peak in the year 180CE/AD. This launch version focuses on the military aspects of the wall, including: - 73 miles of Roman Wall, accurately following the terrain of northern England - 158 turrets - 78 Milecastles - 18 individually modelled legionary forts plus two Romano-British villages - 4 Roman bridges with corrected river courses - Over 140 unique building models - Over 5,000 terrain modifications to clear the route of the wall, including opening up an eleven mile long "park" through the city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne - A User Guide that includes background about Hadrian's Wall and the HW180 design process Planned updates include the villages along the Wall, night lighting and over 200 miles of earthworks. Does it include marauding picts? 😄

Well, as it happens we are defintely planning to make it possible to walk along the Wall in the 2024 edition, along with the ability to go into individual buildings. Combine that with //42's Camp Out mod and you are almost there!

We were always planning to remove it as it post-dates the Wall by about 1300 years. And then three of us were up there on a field trip two weeks before it was cut down so it has felt very odd to be amongst the last people to have seen the Sycamore.
January 27, 20251 yr Just drop one of these in the gap. Job done. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Sycamore#/media/File:Sycamore_-_RIAT_2018_(center).jpg Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).
